My 7yo daughter discovered these books at her elementary school library. We often sit down to read them aloud and I must say these are creative and entertaining books! When she falls asleep, I read to the end! Geronimo Stilton is a cute, creative little character that takes many trips and gets himself into lots of predicaments. His sister Thia also gets in on the action and has apparently gotten her own line of books of well, though I have not yet read these. Best of all, there are many books in this series, so I can continue to purchase them for my kids as gifts as they grow!

After reading the Geronimo Stilton graphic novel — The Sewer Rat Stink — my daughter begged to read the original series. This is the first book, and she was enamored. You'd never know it's a "new" book, because she's carried it around with her and memorized her favorite lines. She's read it alone — she's 6, going into first grade this fall — and as a family at bedtime. The illustrations are fun, and the added graphic kick applied to the text throughout makes this a good choice for those transitioning from early chapter books to more advanced ones. The story is full of tongue-in-cheek cheese humor that parents will appreciate. It was so well loved, we've bought the second and third books in the series.

I read this book to my six year old son last night (yes, all 117 pages!) and we both loved it! It's very funny! A great book for kids as it weaves a tale of mystery and shows a treasure map. It's also fun for adults as the writer uses clever dialogue and is very descriptive.

My 10-year-old son discovered the Geronimo Stilton books in his classroom. He has ADHD and he can't put these books down! I bought him a few for Christmas and he keeps asking for more. The text is written in a very unique way. Some of the words are in colors and different fonts and sizes. They appear to "pop out" at you, making it very engaging. There are also pictures scattered throughout the text and the stories are humorous. 5 stars I HIGHLY recommend these books!

My daughter first discovered Geronimo Stilton through her school's Scholastic Book Orders. It is sometimes difficult to find age appropriate books for my above average reader who just completed first grade. These books are funny and engaging. She goes through them pretty quickly, but there are many, many books in the series. We bought extra copies of numbers 1 and 2 to give as birthday gifts.

I bought this to read with my son because it had such good reviews but I have to be honest, the cheese jokes, puns and wordplay really start to lose their appeal as the book goes onStory is fun, sort of a journalist mouse's version of treasure island. Like I said, would like it more if it laid off the cheese jokes - there were usually 2 per page at least. I get I am not the target audience but even my kid was sort of over it by the middle.The best part of the book by far is the literal text with numerous words and phrases written in special graphics and fonts - very fun way to spice up the readingOverall I think 3 stars is just about right for this book. I wonder if the series gets better as it goes on?

Our son had some struggles with remote learning last year and it slowed his reading. I finally found a book that wasn’t just a graphic novel but had pictures and interesting things to look at while still a chapter book.

I am beyond amazed by these books. My son absolutely loves them and gets such a thrill and a kick out of them. If I try to pull him away from them for dinner, he just does not want to stop reading. I love that he reads and I'm totally on board with him reading all of these books. Highly recommend if you're looking for an adventurous book for your kiddo.
