Koolscape RBB-55 55-Gallon RAIN Barrel, Brown

I purchased the Koolatron 55 gallon rain barrel to prevent rain water from puddling around the foundation of my house. I am happy with my purchase and it is an attractive addition to my backyard.

The barrel is nice looking, lightweight, and functions well. The top grating easily allows rainwater flow from a downspout to be routed above it. My one complaint is the passive overflow port at the back. It's a little 1-inch plastic port that is supposed to relieve water when the barrel is getting full. I clamped a 1-inch piece of tubing onto it and routed it to the ground nearby. About a week later, the glue that holds the port onto the barrel gave out. Not what I was expecting.

Leaks around the spigot.

We use this without being attached to a gutter and we have to fill it all the time. The spout is trash but we use the drain connector anyway. When it is empty it is very light.

I love this rain barrel. The legs give it a nice height and the spout is awesome! We had a rain barrel that had a hose connected to an opening at the bottom and the hose kept coming off so the barrel dripped constantly. I specifically looked for one that I could get the water out easily and this one fits the bill! Plus it is very nice looking. I enjoy filling up my watering can now!

This rain barrel needs no stand. The faucet is metal and is threaded. There is a clean out at the very base. The only thing that I need in addition is tubing to run from the overflow in the back. It can be connected to other tanks. It is very nice looking with a copper rain chain.
