Brad Paisley: A Step-By-Step Breakdown of the Guitar Styles and Techniques of a Country-Rock Superstar Book/Online Audio (Guitar Signature Licks)

I really enjoy the whole Signature Licks series, as it is hard to find other books that give you as much actual musical analysis along with the tabbed songs as they do. These are not complete song transcriptions, but feature excerpts and key parts from the selected tunes (12 of them, in this book), with some solid analysis of what Brad is doing in each part.Dave Rubin is the transcriber here, and he does a good job. He makes note of when Brad uses the B-bender, which is left out of many other Paisley tabs (although it's a huge part of his style, and some licks are tough to duplicate without one). I really enjoyed the section on Cluster Pluck from the Play album. He doesn't cover every solo by every player, but he manages to get the first 7 of them (Wariner, Lee, Volkaert, Jorgenson, Gill, Mason and Burton). The tabs are the same as in the Play songbook, and seem accurate. He did (intentionally?) leave out some of the later solos that were tabbed wrong in that book (Paisley's delay solo and Jorgenson's tapping lick), but folks with good ears will figure that out. All in all, another solid Signature Licks and Dave Rubin effort. Anyone with an interest in Paisley's hot guitar style should definitely check this one out.

The only problem I have with this purchase is that it arrived with a few creases on it. Other than that....This book offers a great look into Paisleys technique on some double stops, hammer ons and pull offs... It gives some good ideas about his other technique's too....if you like Brad Paisleys guitar playing and you want to learn some of it, this book can help you..(Bender optional lol)

Lots of licks with detailed descriptions of key signatures etc. Also includes tips.

Esperaba gastarme un dinerito para tener partituras completas de algunas canciones de Brad Paisley, que a menudo resultan complicadas de sacar de oído por la velocidad, los matices y, en fin, por ese estilo tan peculiar del artista, y resulta que sólo vienen algunos trozos y muchos solos ni siquiera están completos.

Spartito eccellente. Consigliatissimo per chi come me ama la musica Country e suona la chitarra, ci sono tutte le tablature e tutte le spiegazioni dei reef di Brad. Ottimo, consigliatissimo.

très bon bouquin sur le style de brad paisley, hormis les solos ou il faut le fameux G-bender c'est du tout bon.le livre porte surtout su les instrumentaux de Brad mais bon...si vous voulez appréhender le style de paisley c'est le bouquin qu'il vous faut!ne soyez pas étonné si dans un premier temps ca vous semble injouable...les riffs de brad sont particulièrement durs a jouer c'est tout.on a tous débuté un jour... et là vous allez réapprendre a jouer c'est sur! bref très content de l achat, j'ai du pain sur la planche si je veux jouer tout ça comme lui ;)
