All Hands on Deck: Tools for Connecting Educators, Parents, and Communities (Corwin Connected Educators Series)

This book was a quick read in regards to ideas and suggestions on how to involve all stakeholders in a school. For students to succeed schools need to involve all stakeholders (community, parents, teachers, etc). This books gave excellent ideas and suggestions.

This is accessible and has a lot of good ideas. I would like a way to read it so I would know the difference between vital insights and obvious ideas. Sometimes a list would really do just fine. It has gotten a bit outdated already, but that was unavoidable.

Great book on a very important topic: schools becoming connected, transparent, and communicating on all the wonderful things they are doing. Embrace the technology! This is written by someone who "practices what they preach" and is a very well connected educator with a well connected school. Good stuff! It is short, but the price reflects that.... and this is actually refreshing it is not redundant or fluffy simply to fill pages. I recommend it!

The book is practical, short, and well-written. However, it is very outdated. Most teachers and school districts are active on social media to engage community members, students, and families. I was hoping for new engagement ideas, but came away with suggestions like "use Twitter" or "try digital platforms to engage families". Unfortunately, it wasn't enough new information for me. Maybe in the next edition or update?

I had to buy it for a class. The teacher doesn’t use it. Easy read but nothing new for me.
