Just what I wanted.
I'm trying to get away from nonstick cookware and replace it with either stainless steel or like this Skillet the enameled cast-iron. I followed the manufacturer's instructions and seasoned it before use. I've cooked bacon and catfish in it and it cooks beautifully. And all you need to use to clean it is water. The texture of the enamel is not real smooth like the white enamel it's a cross between enamel or rather it looks like it's a cross between enamel and cast iron. However they did it, I really like this skillet.

Not nonstick but ok enough
Not a nonstick, but not as difficult to clean as stainless steel skillet. Frying eggs so far, stick pretty good to it. My only hope is that the black enamel is actually chemical free, as these days you never know being that it's made in china, so if it is, it is a somewhat better alternative to nonstick skillets. Also surprisingly not super heavy for a cast iron which is good, and I bought a 12 inch one.Keeping it as there are few healthy alternatives.

sticky
This is a beautiful pan, but I do not think it's at the level of a Creuset. It cooks evenly and gives a little something extra in a similar way to cast iron. However, and I find this strange: the enamel is beautifully smooth and glossy on the bottom, sides, and handle, but the actual cooking surface is quite orange peeled, a bit rough, and this is where I want that smooth surface! As a result, it's almost as sticky as my stainless and newer cast iron, although I have seasoned it now 3 times. I guess those crispy noodles will have to wait.

NOT a great non-stick alternative as stated!!!
You have to season this pan for it to be a non-stick pan and I DO NOT want a pan that has to be seasoned. If I did I would have gotten a cast iron pan, which I already have some and don't use because I can't get over the idea of washing a seasoned pan and using it again without washing out all of the seasoning and reseasoning it. I contacted the company because things stuck so badly to it and they told me I had to season it and how to do it. It should be stated right up front that it needs to be seasoned. They did say they would take it back after I tried seasoning it, but, as I said that wasn't an option for me. I just gave it away instead of going to the hassle of trying to send it back. NO I don't recommend it and NO I wouldn't buy it again. PLUS, I don't like the color. What a huge waste of my time and money.

Exactly as I hoped it would be
I purchased the skillet (no it does not come with a lid for those who may ask), and first of all, it was packaged so well by Lindhaus. The skillet is in perfect condition and I love the merlot coloring. I used it the night I received it and it performed beautifully ( I made bone in skin on chicken thighs in an herb butter sauce). I had no problem washing it, came out good as new. A purchase that I am glad I made.

Don't try to make pancakes in it!
I paid so much for it and i couldn't even make pancakes in it. They stuck so bad had to scrap them off and throw them away! Very disappointed in this pan. Perhap I just got a defective one.I was going to order other pieces, but now, i don't think i will.

Excellent skillet
Review after one week owning it. Wife loves it! I can't give a better endorsement than that. She is thorough in researching purchases such as these before buying. From first use through now multiple uses, after each time she says "I love this pan!" Even after washing it she says the same.

Versatile, well made pan!
I LOVE this skillet! No more teflon or toxic materials in this house! It's all cast iron, porcelain coated cast iron and stainless steel. They're heavier than pans made from aluminum, but I feel it's well worth it! I feel like this pan is going to last me forever.
