Sauder Clifford Place Credenza, Grand Walnut finish

This was easy to put together, but time consuming. It took two of us about 2 hours. The overall product is solid and looks great.The drawer and door pulls are more of a bright gold than I was expecting and there are holes in the top for cables that I was not expecting. The top holes have black plastic inserts like a desk to close the hole or to open it for cords passing through. There are also three holes on the back of the unit for cords, one in each cabinet and one in the open middle area.There are stickers which you use to cover up the cams after assembly. They are printed with a wood pattern and they are all on the interior of the unit, so they are fine. Our stuff will eventually cover the stickers.Time will tell how well the finish holds up, it appears thin, but it seems fine.All in all I would purchase this again.

There are A LOT of pieces to this as referenced in other reviews. I took the easy way out & hired someone to put this together for me. I absolutely love the color & have 2 additional pieces from this line. I previously tried putting the desk together, which is why I knew I wasn’t going to put this piece together. So if you’re going to put it together yourself, make sure you have a lot of time because you will need water breaks. Food breaks. Sighing & crying breaks. The piece is sturdy, BUT there is always that one piece that will give you issues. On this one, it’s one of the doors. I can live with it though. This piece offers a lot of storage space as well. OH, & I know the directions say don’t use a drill. I’m not saying use a drill, but if you don’t it could take you 7 years to put this together. LOL!

I love the size and look of this credenza. It has around 100 pieces. It’s not for everyone to put it together. If you don’t like puzzles or not good at following instructions, forget it. It took me all afternoon. Cannot use a drill or strips. At the end, I had to ask my husband for help with the drawer and door hinges. For the amount of work to assemble it, it should be cheaper, but I like it a lot.

I was SO thrilled with this piece of furniture! I did not have any local Office Depot or Office Max that had this on display, so i wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I live in an apartment where I’m using a spare bedroom as an office and this is literally the perfect size. It doesn’t look ostentatious or anything and is so functional. The sliding shelf in the middle now houses my printer and the drawers/cabinets are perfect for hiding away textbooks or other bulky items. I did buy the matching hutch to attach and it’s the perfect complement. My only issue was with shipping - Amazon shipped it via UPS instead of using a bulk service (it’s VERY heavy). My UPS driver wasn’t able to move it alone and the package was pretty beat up upon arrival. Amazon was nice to deal with to address the damaged corners, etc. and I’m satisfied overall with this purchase

This unit fit my needs for my home office, for a great price. I received it yesterday and it took me about 5 hours to put it together myself (as an older woman).The directions were spot on, all parts were there and it really was less challenging than I thought it would be.I was also pleasantly surprised at how nice the finish is. I thought it would just be the typical paper laminate but this is a step up as it has a grainy feel to it too!It is a little darker than the photo but has nice variations of color to it so it matches my Pottery Barn desk and chair anyway...

I have a couple pieces of this collection. The design is clean and nice and I very much like the mid-century-modern look. I would say assembly difficulty is medium due to the number of parts (assembly takes a couple hours), but assembly was straightforward and I didn't have any problems with either piece. The pieces are sturdy and I expect a couple decades of use at least (given my experience with past assembled furniture).

Got the Credenza, along with the small low hutch as a tv stand, printer stand and extra storage for my home office. It was somewhat complicated to put together like people say, but not terribly difficult. It looks just like the pictures. Only problem is the two doors don’t close correctly. They swing in too much. So I got two small pieces of rubber and now it closes flush and also softly. It’s actually better than it was intended to be and it only cost an extra 3$ at Lowe’s for the rubber. I’d definitely recommend the whole Clifford place set. I also got the desk for 300$ from Office Depot

I haven’t put this piece together yet, but all the other items we order from this Sauder Clifford line are beautiful! Takes some time, just like any other assembly required piece. However the instructions and very easy to follow. We are very pleased so far!
