Great small wheelchair!
I broke my foot in 4 places and have been non-weight bearing for the past 4 weeks. This little chair is perfect. Being so lightweight and folding down so small makes it easy to get into a car. It is easy to navigate and makes tight turns which is really helpful in small spaces. It is comfortable to sit in for long periods. I contacted customer support for a missing screw cap and they were very helpful. Cannot give this product enough praise.

Lightweight and dependable transport chair
A great purchase! I bought this chair one month ago for an elderly relative in her 90s with dementia and hip issues. She had been borrowing a friend’s wheelchair for a while but, after an accidental fall, the friend suddenly needed her chair back. I admit being nervous about the purchase because I needed to make a quick decision. Normally, I would prefer to buy something like this in a brick and mortar store and take my time trying out models with my relative. However, my relative needed a wheelchair/transport chair asap. (There was no way she was getting out the house without a transport chair!) Plus, at $95, the price wasn’t bad. The detailed reviews on here were also very useful in determining which model to get. Thank you, fellow reviewers! This model is lighter than other wheelchairs and easy to load in a car. In addition, it has secure breaks, enabling us to safely transfer our relative from a chair into this transport chair and from the transport chair into the car. Previously, I was eying another model, the one with slightly larger back wheels, but negative reviews about the breaks scared me away. As mentioned by the other reviewers on here, this is a great chair to use in shopping malls, apartments, houses, and around the neighborhood outside. There is even a seatbelt to secure the person in the chair. Even though I bought the bigger 19’’ model, it easily fits through doorways in a small and older house. This being said, my relative is in her 90s and doesn’t use the chair all the time. She uses it mainly on outings on paved surfaces, which are infrequent due to her age and other medical issues. In the house, she normally uses a walker, but if she is having hip pain, she will use this transport chair. From this, I can see that chair provides a smooth ride and performs well on both carpeted and non-carpeted surfaces. I cannot personally rate the performance of the chair if used daily for several hours at a time and/or on rough terrain, but see that other reviewers have been happy with the chair’s performance in demanding situations such as vacations. Due to my relative’s dementia and mobility issues, she is unable to wheel herself around. Otherwise, I would have bought a full self-propelled wheelchair (the kind with large wheels that can be moved by the person sitting in it). This was another factor I took into consideration with my purchase. While other reviewers have noted that it’s possible to self-propel, I think this chair is best suited for those who prefer to be wheeled by another person. In terms of appearance, the chair has an attractive appearance with a seatbelt and detachable leg rests. It was packed well and came clean and without defects. A care manual was included. Great quality, compact!
This is great for smaller people who need to get around. Easy to take because it folds up compact. Great quality and the footrests are heavy duty. Highly recommend for smaller people who.

EXACTLY What I needed
Yes, this chair is narrow. The description says it's narrow. the seat is 17" but the width between the arms is 14.5". This is not for a larger person. It is lightweight but heavy-duty and PERFECT for my father. I only wish that when the foot rests are not in use, they would strap back or snap back in place. They flop forward causing the chair to be wider. For now, I removed them and put them in a tote bag to carry with the chair when needed. They could also be tied back if necessary. Other than that, it's sturdy, rolls smoothly, easy to turn corners and go through a standard doorway without removing the door (which is why I wanted a narrow one). I purchased used/like new and only the box was damaged! The chair is fine!!! Cha-Ching! I love saving money!!! Very happy with it and well worth the full price if a used one isn't available. I got lucky. Medical supply stores more than double the list price!

Easily Moveable, Very Manueverable, and Folds Nicely
This transport chair works better than the previous Drive transport chair model that we used for years for my 96 year old father-in-law who lives with us and weighs about 190 pounds and suffers from bone on bone knee issues. It was time for a new chair because the plastic on the arm rest pad broke on the previous chair. While the chair comes in a 17 inch and 19 inch wide model we purchased the 19 inch wide model to match the previous one. I noticed that this Drive transport chair was different than the one we used previously for years. The foot rests are height adjustable., the previous chair did not have that feature. Even better than that, was the fact that I could lift up the foot rest and the foot rest stayed up making it easier when entering and exiting the chair. The previous model foot rests would not always stay lifted up. As with the previous model the foot rests are easily removable and have the swing away feature which also comes with a locking device to keep them in place in the front of the chair.. I am able to put the transport chair easily in my trunk by folding the chair. It is nice to know that the back folds down and the foot rests easily come off should it be necessary to fit in smaller vehicle spaces. One of the best features of the chair is how easy the chair is to maneuver. My experience is that the many other transport chairs are harder to get around in small spaces. As with the previous model, the brake levers are closer to the wheel, but reachable so that the rider can put the brakes on and off with their hands if necessary while sitting in the chair unassisted. The person assisting may be like me and find it much easier to use the shoes on your feet to manipulate the brakes and avoid bending over. Lightweight and easily transportable. Truly a blessing for all involved.

This wheelchair is ideal for the job it is designed for. Not too heavy to lift into the back of a standard hatchback. Easy to manouvre. A bit of a problem with the front wheels fouling the footrests when going in reverse. Why go in reverse? Pushing my aged father round the supermarket and needing to go back for a missed item and not being to turn round in the narrow aisles. Good value

Easy to put together. Bought for when I had to take my mother in law to appointments. The use of her walker when inside her home for short distance was alright, but not for anything more. Now I can wheel her out to the car, easy fold by lifting the handle loops so it squeezes together, pop off the foot rests and put into the back. No more worry of her getting to tired to make it or worse... falling! The sitting area is not overly large but works great for most I'd think. Check the sitting area for size in description. For my MIL, it is perfect. It isn't the lightest thing but I do manage on my own. Quality.

So glad I purchased this chair for my elderly mother for times when she needs more than a rollator. Easy to assemble. Folds up or down in two easy steps. The footrests hook on and must be removed each time you want to fold away the chair. Rolling action is smooth. Feels sturdy when pushing but is light enough to lift in and out of my car. Fits the trunk of my Honda Civic with room to spare (unlike some rollators). There are leverage "pedals" near the rear wheels to help get the chair over raised thresholds. The carton it came in had cut-out carrying holes which made it easier to get the 30-pound box home. Only drawbacks: a larger person might find the seat confining; there are no pockets built into the chair and no storage bag was included for the footrests; you have to bend down almost to the ground to manually engage the real-wheel brakes. But those are just minor issues. This chair is perfect for getting quickly from point A to B, and is very reasonably priced.
