If you want to truly know about civilization... This is the book.. this book not only teach you but also clears the myths related to it.. which I think is best...Quality is A++

Say you don't have time and you want to read just one book, then read this book. It is so nice to read that you don't even realize how you finished it. All the pictures of dug up history make history real and live for you. Must read for newbies as well as scholars. For Scholars it helps connect the dots left open by other fields of study such as history and linguistics.

This is great work no doubt. But my only complain is that it does not cover few things for e.g the rigveda and aryans seems little disconnected. For e.g aryans used a very primitive language as shown in their evidence but rigvedic verses are very advanced communication vocabulary. The dressing of rigvedic people is also different to what harrapans wore. This gap is not covered very well in the book. It does establish very well that they were nit immigrants.
