Is it magnetic? high quality stainless steel is nonmagnetic. if i'm buying stainless cookware i always check it with a magnet.

Dear Customer, As 18/8 (304) stainless steels is austenitic, when they cool, the iron remains in the form of austenite (gamma iron), a phase of iron which is nonmagnetic. However, this does not mean that you should expect to measure such a low susceptibility on any item of 304 or 316 stainless steel that you encounter. Any process which can change the crystal structure of stainless steel can cause austenite to be converted to the ferromagnetic martensite or ferrite forms of iron. These processes include cold working and welding. It is also possible for austenite to spontaneously convert to martensite at low temperatures. To complicate matters further, the magnetic properties of these alloys depend on the alloy composition. Within the allowed ranges of variation of Ni and Cr, significant differences in magnetic properties may be observed for a given alloy. Odd sizes are helpful

These are well made, a bit narrower than measuring spoons they replace, which I’m hoping gets them into spice jars the others couldn’t. But my real reason for buying them are the additional odd sizes they include such as 1/3 tsp and 1/2 Tbs. Handy to have.

great variety of sizes, very strudy

Super sturdy and a bit heavy but I love having such a great variety of sizes. No more guessing on unusual amounts. I really like the long handles, too. It makes it much easier to scoop out spices from cylindrical containers. Very good measuring spoons. The shape of the spoons' bowls in narrow & deep rather than wide and flat. I like it & it seems to hold the spices better. I recommend these.

I like that a 3/4 t and 1/2 T are included. Unless I missed it the description did not say made in China. I’m trying to avoid made in China whenever possible. I found out when the product arrived
