Fresh Salsa at Your Fingertips
This AeroGarden Salsa Garden Seed Pod Kit makes growing your own salsa ingredients surprisingly easy. The seven pre-seeded pods—including four heirloom cherry tomato and three jalapeño pepper varieties—sprouted reliably in about 7–10 days, just as advertisedamazon.com. The included nutrient packet and clear growing guide walked me through setup and maintenance, and the pods fit perfectly into my existing AeroGarden system.Once established, the plants grew vigorously under the LED light, producing flavorful cherry tomatoes and crisp jalapeños within 8–10 weeks. I appreciated that the seeds are non-GMO and heirloom, and the hydroponic system meant no messy soil or weeding. Cleanup is also a breeze—just swap out the spent pod units and you’re ready for the next round. My only minor quibble is that the kit doesn’t include enough nutritional solution for multiple planting cycles, so you’ll need to purchase extra AeroGarden liquid nutrients if you want to keep gardening long-term. Otherwise, this kit offers a fun, educational, and delicious way to enjoy fresh salsa fixings year-round.

Love My AeroGarden
Love my AeroGarden. Fun and easy to use. The herbs are the best, tomato’s take a long time, plants get big but slow to grow and not to many tomato’s. I have enjoyed growing the herbs the most as they last a long time and it’s great to cut fresh herbs when cooking.

Healthy plants...
Most all of them germinated and the ones that did, were excellent. The jalapeños are some of the hotter ones that I've tried and the tomatoes were tasty too although I prefer the yellow ones.

AeroGarden Salsa Garden Seed Pod Kit
Planted in my Aerogarden two out of three of the tomato plants are growing great, one of them not growing at all, planted one of the Jalapeno pepper plants and it is growing as well. Can't wait until there are tomato's and Jalapeno peppers to make salsa with. Really enjoy the aerogarden products, will contact aerogarden about the one tomato plant that is not growing since they offer a replacement. Will purchase again in the future when needed.

Dependable Germination
I have peppers and tomatoes growing right now! Out of all of the pods I've ever received, only one tomato has refused to germinate. My plants are healthy and fruitful. The AeroGarden site has great recommendations for pollinating and caring for the plants. I only plant one tomato and one jalapeño at a time in my AeroGarden Bounty (9 spaces). I would recommend the spacers AeroGarden sells to cover the empty pod spaces. I love checking my plants each day to watch the flowers and keep track of all of the teeny tiny little tomatoes that are starting to grow!

Tomatoes
These are great, they grew fast and furious in our aerogarden, but they were getting really high before any tomato even started to grow, so the leaves were getting burned by the grow light. The plant is healthy so we decided to take it out and plant in soil. There were some initial shock for the plant going from water to soil, but with some loving care it is still thriving and so many tomatoes! The pictures are of the plant after growing in soil in a pot for about a month, and we kept it indoors in direct sunlight.

Many Pods Don’t Grow
About half the pods grow to full-sized plants. Some don’t sprout at all and others sprout but then die off (usually due, I assume, to a white mold that grows on the base of the pod). This has been my experience with about three purchases of sets of pods so far. I know that there is some sort of guarantee but I don’t have the time to figure out how to send back pods and haggle over partial reimbursement.

Can't wait to eat some salsa!
UPDATE**** 05/02/2016Finally red tomatoes and peppers! I planted these around February 12th 2016. Everything seems to be producing really abundant. 1 of my tomato plants is a little behind the other plants but it is still producing. I have emptied out the water every other nutrient cycle. I use the sink sprayer to spray onto the roots. I have continuously pruned the plants to which may make the difference on the pepper plant holding more peppers at a time. The plants sprouted in no time! I have been pruning them accordingly and have been pollinating as instructed. My tomatoes for whatever reason have been on the vine what seems like a month now but still haven't turned red. I planted these in the middle of February 2016. The peppers just got their first blossoms this morning which I will add another photo of those to update when I can. I can't wait to try the the tomatoes and peppers! They smell good already.
