Great value, works well and the price is right
Easy to assemble, works well, and I love the fact that it comes with the right hardware to mount the engine, and the hardware has a place to be stored when an engine is not in the stand! This stand is holding my BB Chevy without any issues, even with the exhaust manifolds still on the engine. Overall, a great value!

The casters could be better
I now own 4 of these cradles. 3 of them have SBC long blocks on them and the cradles work perfectly. 1 has a complete engine. Complete to include the flywheel, clutch, generator, starter - as heavy as it can get. That cradle doesn't change directions easily when rolling. The casters are overloaded and can't rotate without my turning them manually. Basically the casters don't live up to their load rating. The complaints I read in other reviews about how the holes don't line up and the fasteners are cheap. OK, yes - the fasteners are cheap. Also the holes don't line up perfectly - but it's a welded tube assembly - it's flexible. If you can't figure out how to flex the cradle a little to line up the holes you probably shouldn't be working on engines. As with all Speedway shipments, the cradles arrived early and in perfect shape.

Rugged quality works well. Perfect. Verified buyer
Rugged quality. Great welds. Heavy duty to hold my 327. I replaced all bolts with grade 5. Replaced 5/16” crossmember bolts with 3/8”. Probably not necessary for crossmember but did anyway to beef it up. Tip: assemble loosely, attach, then torque bolts. Would recommend to a friend.

Fits a BBC Perfectly
Got this rolling engine cradle for a 1996 454 Chevy. Fits perfectly as long as you assemble it on the engine. Don't build the thing on the garage floor and expect an engine to drop right into it. Put the thing on the engine, all bolts kinda loose. Once you have both sides on the engine, put the cross brace in position. Then just go around and snug everything up ... SHAZAM!! ....all done, fits perfect! The only drawback is, stuff like this is waayyyyy over priced.

CHANGE NUTS AND BOLTS TO REAL GRADE 8 BOLTS IF YOUR PUTTING A COMPLETE ENGINE ON IT!
I had to loosen one side of this engine mount and whack it with a dead blow hammer to install the block front side engine mount properly. Then everything fit correctly. Its nice that they provide hardware, but the bolts for the cross member seemed a little to small in diameter, so I drilled a little larger and installed grade 8 nuts, bolts and washer. Further if your installing a complete engine on this stand I would recommend American made grade 8 bolts. This stand itself is quite sturdy, so why jeopardies your engine with unknown quality nuts and bolts?

Multi-Use engine stand
I am very happy with my purchase. I will be able to mount both my small block and big block Chevy engines. I will also be able to move the engine blocks out of the way when it is necessary.

Actually a really nice stand. I installed larger 5/16” bolts and nuts (4 total) on the cross brace as the factory bolts seemed a little light. required a little drilling the holes oversized, but very little. I think factory bolts were 1/4” , the factory holes were oversized for 1/4”, but not quite 5/16”. highly recommended mod imo. lots of metal to do this mod, btw. otherwise, nice paint job, engine bolted right in, no alignment issues. Would buy another. would be nice to see stands for other engines, 331/354/392 hemi’s for example
