This is the, hands down, shaprest, clearest lens that I have used with a Sony aps-c system. Using a a6300 for reference. Detail, color, and bokah are all amazing! Highly recommend this lens. Focusing doesn't seem to "search" as much as the 16mm does (another fantastic lens). I have used the sigma 16mm, Sony 18-135, and the Sony 35mm. The sigma 56 is my favorite of all of these... And easily the sharpest. The 35mm focuses slightly faster, but the 56mm is still very fast and accurate.Easy 5 stars. Very much recommend!

Product is great quality - sharp focus. The order was delayed repeatedly, so be aware if you need it on a tight schedule for a shoot.

After looking at several reviews, videos, and articles on the crop sensor vs. the full-frame lenses, I opted for the Sigma 56 as my portrait lens. It's full-frame equivalent is the 85mm lens which gave me great results in the past. The 1.4 offers bokeh and smaller size make this a valued addition to my collection. I've recently downsized from a Canon 6D to an ASP-C and still learning.
