Private Equity: How the Business of Private Equity Funds Works Paperback – January 29, 2018

I was not really sure about this book due to the low price compared to other books in this field. However, I bought it, also due to the positive reviews. And I have to say this book is the best private equity book I have ever read! I was looking for a book like this because I am doing an internship in private equity fund right now. After reading the book, my supervisor was impressed about my knowledge on private equity and I am convinced that most of this knowledge is attributed to this book. The practical examples inside the book helped me by a great deal to understand the business model of private funds. I can absolutely recommend this book to everyone interested in private equity buyout funds!

I am working in a midsize private equity fund since a couple of years. When I was a finance student I have always tried to find a book which explains this (for me very interesting) topics in an easy to understand way. This book definitely is doing exactly that. The step by step explained leveraged buyout model at the end of the book is a great (and practical) introduction to this valuation methods. I recommend the book to everyone who wants to learn more about how the private equity business works.

Very great book! It explains the complex topic of private equity in a simple and very interesting way. The author leads the reader through the whole lifecycle of a private equity fund.

The book is basically a good primer on PE. But the spelling errors are horrible. Really? Maybe use grammarly or a basic grammar check. Or ask someone to proof read your book the next time.

Besides a few spelling errors, the book did a great job of laying the foundation to show beginners what private equity is and what exactly these large firms do.

The Kindle version has a ton of errors. If you already work in private equity, this book is probably too simple to be meaningful.
