Attention, Balance and Corrdination
I am a pediatric occupational therapist with more than 21 years of experience, much of it in a school setting. This book was not helpful to me at all, in terms of treatment, due to the complex focus on neurological theories that may or may not accurately describe how the brain processes information. Too much theory and a deficit of solutions.

Practical Look at Sensory Integration Disorder
What a shame that the negative reviewer was missing pages of this book as this book is incredible! After having read all of jean ayers and biels, bates, etc., this author was recommended to me. Oh my goodness, she is incredible! She is practical, pragmatic and makes sense to me as a layman. Everything made sense. At the same time, she was quick to reassure her audience that just because someone did not meet a particular milestone did not mean that they would have a developmental disorder (this little caveat is missing in most other books one reads). She apparently married into the Blythe family who began working on these issues before Ayers. This is a must read, not just for families of children with developmental delays, but for all parents interested in raising children with a strong foundation of development.

A very well written, informative, well researched and thoughtful book. The best book I have read on the difficulties children with SEN's have, the relationship between their 'conditions' and factors that give rise to their underlying neurological developmental delays and how these can be overcome by specific physical exercises, diet and other factors.
