Oh and this is ONE 2.5 inch foam. I had forgotten that I had bought this before myself and ordered it again this week thinking I was getting 2 half inch foams. Bad description 2-1/2 instead of 2.5 is quite misleading.I cut this to fit my windows and it stays in pretty well (as long as you but an inch or so too much so it's squished a bit).Definitely helps with noise levels going through it. I have not however used it for echo and such.

I asked my housemates to make a lot of noise in the other room and didn't notice any sound reduction from the door I taped this to. However, it doesn't cover cracks around the door. I thought since the door was hollow, this would help, but no help. However, I'm trying to use it for *sound blocking*, not echo reduction, so I wasn't expecting much. The foam could be fine for echo reduction. I'm putting 3 stars anyway because it smelled horrible when I took it out of the box and had to air it out outside for a couple weeks. Maybe this is normal, not sure.

I purchased this foam to place in my window and various places around my home recording studio. I was very surprised at how well this foam worked. I mean, I use to have to wait for the birds to stop chirping before I could begin recording, now with the foam, I can record even when the neighborhood dogs are barking. The window no longer rattles when trains go by. I can't imagine anything working better than that. So, I say, this foam did it's job.

I've read alot of bad reviews about Foam Factory Foam which is actually who this is packaged by. But i was amazed by its performance. i covered about half of a standard bedroom closet including some of the ceiling and i was shocked by how dead it sounds. When i speak into my mic it sounds like i'm on NPR or something, ridiculously clear.

its ok it is not as clean cut as the picture is and it comes in one HUGE ROLL that is not as firm as the individual squares you would purchase. If I had to do it again I would have spent an extra 20buks for the pre cuts

Unfortunately my neighbors sub woofer still gets thru the wall where it annoys me.It does reduce the sound a bit.

Its a great product. But it did not meet my needs. I want back and ordered the 1" thick foam
