Thick tough leather, great construction.
I was very hesitant about online coats. I did not shop for fashion. I wanted proper protection and fit. It took over 60 days of online searching and scouring every retail store in a 2 hour drive range before I decided to purchase the JKM1011. Upon arrival, I found a well stitched coat. I went over every centimeter of sticking, it is all good. The leather is textured and surprisingly thick. The fit is good, the arm length is long and proper for riding. It is cold in Ohio's winters, and I ride all days that the streets are ice and snow free. The coat is wind proof. The longer sleeves seal the gauntlets to keep the wind from traveling up my arms. Tail length is great. No drafts up the back, even on a sport bike. One exceptional feature that I never expected to find was that the pockets are stitched in place. You can retrieve key, while wearing gloves and not turn the pocket inside out. Minor, yes, a fantastic feature, definitely. A designer working for hot leathers must actually ride. I wouldn't want to quick draw from the CCW pockets. I didn't buy the coat for its holster abilities. On the third wearing on a cold morning, I unfortunately hit the pavement. I scared up the coat as I slid on my stomach, on the road. Those longer sleeves not only kept me warm, but protected my wrists and arms. There was a good deal of cosmetic damage, but no injury to me on the upper torso. A couple weeks later on a cold morning, but warm afternoon, I was able to try the vents. They are serviceable, but not pleasant on very warm/hot days. It is a heavy leather coat after all, just change clothes. I'm 5'9" and 175 lbs, not an athletic build. I don't have thin arms either. I like the movement range. This is not my first leather riding jacket. The last one lasted over 30 years before my size changed too much. I believe this jacket will also last, providing the crash protective qualities are not overly sampled. I will purchase another, but the coat is still serviceable after the accident, just cosmetically scared so it will continue to protect until I reorder.

picked a real amazon bargain!!
one really well made riding jacket!! excellent styling! a great amazon special price! the jacket comes on its own heavy-duty hanger, and is sealed at the factory in a very heavy-duty plastic bag so that when you take the jacket out of the bag the leather still has the smell of the black dye they use to color the leather hides at the tannery. leave the jacket out-side in the sun a couple of days and the smell goes down and now you are left with that great and intoxicating smell of genuine leather from cow-hide! all zippers are all metal and they have leather pull-tabs.i did not see any advertising in the product information about the inner jacket pockets on the left and the right sides and that they are set-up with elastic stays for concealed-carry! you get the card attached to the jacket! my little .32 s&w fits very nice! this is very thick leather and the jacket is heavy when you pick it up.this is not a cheap knock-off!! i followed the advise of the amazon reviewers who said get the large not the x-large for a 200 lb. 6 ft.er and they where right. fits like a glove. even room for a light hoodie.

Awesome value and great jacket. I would recommend that you follow the sizing chart.
I am 6’ 2” and weigh 210 pounds. I’m have an athletic build. When I read through the reviews a lot of people said to order one size bigger than the sizing chart. I typically wear an extra large and so I went with an XL even though the sizing chart recommended a large. The extra large was too big through the waste and a little wide in the shoulders. I have long arms so the sleeve length was fine. but fit everywhere else. I went ahead and returned the extra large and ordered the large and it fits like a glove. Exactly like the sizing chart recommended. The leather is very thick and the jacket is very heavy. Initially it is stiff but after wearing it a few days it loosens up. I absolutely love the jacket and was happy with the quality. I have had multiple compliments on the jacket. All of the zippers had leather tabs on them that I didn’t like but I cut those off for my preference. If someone is similar size but maybe larger around the waist the extra large might be a better fit for them. Impressed with the quality of jacket and would definitely order again.

Thick, heavy GENUINE leather, well made biker jacket, but not "Top Grain" leather.
This is a high quality Genuine Leather jacket made for bikers. Worth twice the price. Thick heavy leather makes me feel protected. It's a bit stiff at first, needs breaking in. It fits great while sitting on the bike and Does not ride up. The end of the sleeve has a zipper and a snap. Closed and snapped it fits snug at the wrist, preventing the wind from going up your sleeve, so you don't usually need gloves with gauntlets, but if it's really cold and you do have gauntlets they are easy to get on over the sleeve. In warmer weather, unzipped and unsnapped lets the wind go up the sleeve and helps keep you cool. There are also zippers you can open for ventilation on the back and on the underside of the upper sleeves. The zippers are heavy duty, not little wimpy zippers. The zip out liner goes on and off easy, it's not real thick, but it's very warm and when it's in you should never get cold. I ride with this any time it's below 75 degrees. While sitting in traffic, 75 might be a little too warm, but while moving with the zipper vents opened the breeze gets through and it's comfortable. I rode it to work this morning, 36 degrees, with the liner in and just regular flannel shirt underneath. My cruiser has a windshield. 40 minute drive, 40 to 50 mph most of the way, and the only place I was cold was my fingertips. This jacket, with the liner in, will keep you warm down to 33 degrees no problem. Any colder than that and there could be ice on the road and you shouldn't be riding. The inside pockets on either side are set up for CCW, straps to hold the firearm and spare mag. A few times I've carried my Glock 22, which is larger than a concealed handgun should be, and it fits. There's a bulge when I walk around, but the thickness of the leather prevents it from looking like a gun. Most people are probably smarter than me and carry something smaller and should have no problem with it. Most of my jackets are XL, but in this case I purchased a Large because riding jackets should fit snug. I'm glad I did, it fits great. I'm 5'10" 200 lbs, not much of a belly. I really like this jacket, it looks great, it feels great and does everything a biker jacket should. I get a lot of compliments on it, and when I tell people that I only paid $140 they are shocked. It looks and feels like it would cost much more. The Amazon description reads "heavyweight top grain leather...", but the tags all say "Genuine Leather", which is a lower grade than "Top Grain". I don't think they're trying to deceive, I just think whoever wrote the description thinks that "top grain" is just an adjective, and does not realize that "Top Grain" is an official grade of leather made in a specific way from specific parts of the hide to official specifications. I think the leather is great quality and I'm happy with it. But it is not "Top Grain". Update: I removed one star. I was riding and felt a breeze under my arm. Upon inspection I observed that the stitching had come apart at the vent zipper(see photo). It's been in the 30's the past few weeks, so I really feel it. This is not an area that receives much use or stress, I don't see any reason for this to have happened other than poor workmanship. I still like the jacket, but now it needs repairing.

Love this jacket!
Completely amazed by this jacket! Heavy, comfortable, warm, sturdy zippers, and it looks great! Couldn't ask for anything more within this price point. I bundled and ordered a bottle of leather lotion with it after reading the reviews of the jacket being stiff and having a bad odor. The bottle of Leather Lotion I received was already opened and the jacket feels as though it has already been treated. It does not have a bad odor what so ever. While this may offend some, I am very pleased that the seller took the time to do this; leaving the jacket ready to wear right out of the box! I am 6' 160lbs and the large fits great. The torso is a little "baggy" for my slim build but leaves ample room for layering on those cold days. It fits my broad shoulders and long arms perfect! I would recommend this jacket to anyone without hesitation.

Regret sizing up.
6' 188 lb athletic build. I looked at the size chart and reviews, despite normally wearing a medium in everything, I ordered a large. Sent it back and waiting on the medium. It isn't crazy big, but it is too big. The arms are about an inch too long and it is too generous in the belly for my build. The jacket itself is awesome. You are getting about 5 lbs of badass leather for a great price. Depending on your build, you could match my height and weight and fit a large. Especially if you have a belly and/or skip leg day. For me, I could have layered a thick hoodie and the arms would have been tightish but the body roomy. I expect the medium to be too fitted for anything but a flannel underneath. I'll update tomorrow when the medium arrives. UPDATE 1/30/19 Shipping speed is incredible. The medium is perfect. It is thick and stiff...however, I'm sure with a little work it will soften up. I can't layer with anything substantial, but I'd rather have a jacket that fits well than one that doesn't.

Perfect fitment!
After placing the order for this jacket, I was worried about the fitment. Although my chest size is 44" I ordered the LARGE which is 42" and it was more than perfect. I am a 6ft guy, 220lbs. Shoulders size, arms, waist were all perfect. This jacket comes with a removable lining inside, which can be useful depending on the weather. the side zippers on each arm, and the back zippers makes this jacket a true riding one! Unlike other people reviewing about how long the sleeves are, mine were perfect length! It is a very stylish jacket! You have to keep in mind that this jacket is very heavy and stiff. But I think within time it should lean up and stretch a bit. For the price you pay, you get a great jacket with many awesome features. Can't wait to ride with it on!

Nice jacket, but too big.
I had to return it because it was too large for me. It is a heavy leather, looks well made and is stylish. However, the smell was horrid! I don't know what it was that makes it smell so bad, but it's good that it is for motorcycle driving rather than being in an enclosed vehicle. I guess it would have dissipated eventually. I was going to re-order, but a medium size, but a medium isn't offered. Minus 1 star for the smell, minus 1 more for not offering a medium. I am continuously amazed by Amazon's return policy! In this case, the credit was posted to my account by the time UPS had showed up to pick up the return! I have since ordered another jacket from a different Amazon seller. If you are new to Amazon shopping, don't hesitate to buy from Amazon. Returning a purchase is a hassle for anyone at any venue - online or brick & mortar. I think Amazon appreciates that we all want to keep what we buy, and returning it is a last resort, so they minimize the frustration. They are great to deal with.
