Oasis OH-4 Humigel Replacement Kit

Replacement crystal kit is and works exactly as described and cheaper than buying a complete new humidifier kit.

It’s nice to be able to recharge Oasis humidifiers whose gel has expired, but it would be nicer if the replacement gel came in a little tube instead if a little plastic bag—that would make spooning the gel into the humidifiers a lot easier.Also, if I may sound off, it sure would be nice if the water syringe Oasis provides had a long narrow tip rather than a blunt end. THAT would make filling the humidifiers a LOT easier. I sometimes buy Brand X humidifiers just to get a more serviceable syringe, sigh.

If you value your solid wood instruments, this is a must buy. The Oasis humidity control product is good for providing instrument case humidity especially in dry climates or in areas where central heating is used during the winter. The conditions which can bring sustained humidity down below 45 is likely to create warping conditions in the wood for guitars, violins, ukuleles, etc. and the problem is that the original humigel that comes with your initial purchase may become less effective over time. Therefore, replacing the get can help to protect your valuable and cherished musical wood instruments. This kit is easy to use and for the price, can really help to preserve your instruments for many years to come because the inexpensive replacement gel can recharge the effectiveness of the Oasis case humidifier. I refill my humidifiers once a year as insurance.

We haven't refilled any of our humigel containers yet but his product seems rather expensive for the number of crystals you receive. Also the inner packet containing the crystals was broken so it will be a trick when we open the outer bag to make sure we capture enough of the spilled crystals

I had accidentally emptied out the crystals from my original oasis humidifier. I utilize the hands of humidifiers because my Facebook can get very dry in the winter. I followed the instructions and refilled one of my humidifiers and it has been functioning perfectly since then.Great way to keep a great humidifier up and running,

Not sure if I got a short package or what since no quantity/volume of crystals is listed. However, the item description says 4-6 refills at 2x .15cc per scoop (included) for a total of .30cc per refill or 1.2-1.8cc per package. (This is all disregarding that the instructions from Oasis included in the package say 4 scoops or .60cc per refill). I barely got 5 scoops (.75cc) and the package is empty. So neither by the item description instructions nor the Oasis instructions was there enough in this package. At $14 a pop to basically refill one reservoir I might as well just spend the $20 for an entire new humidifier.

For your humidifier to work properly, you have to replace the crystals once a year. Make sure you flush out all the old stuff and put the exact amount back in and it will work perfectly. Use only distilled water.

Yup, I knew better. One little 'oops' squeeze while filling my Oasis guitar humidifier, and a goodly portion of the 'gel' plopped out and landed in the sink. Knowing I was a klutz, I had wisely purchased the refill kit along with my Oasis OH-6 Case Humidifiers. The amount of crystals in the refill pack looks minute, but there's enough in there for several 'oops' moments.If you do need to refill your oasis humidifier, I recommend thoroughly rinsing out all remaining gel, and starting fresh with the amount specified in the refill kit instructions. Otherwise, it's difficult to gauge the correct total amount in the unit.

Recharge kit for your Oasis Humidifier. Includes gel crystals, syringe and measuring scoop. After a year or two the gel crystals in your oasis will collapse and gum up into a amber resin like material and no longer expand and hold moisture for slow release. You need to rinse out the oasis humidifier a few times to wash out the old stuff and then replenish the crystals per the instructions. Don't put in more crystals than stated as there is enough for 3 or 4 recharges (a little goes a long way). Do check for leaks in the Oasis Humidifier case as they can eventually fail (water stains on fabric exterior or it doesn't shrivel up as it dries out) and could damage your instrument if left unchecked.

I like all of the items inside ( spoon, instructions, syringe, etc.). However I think they could have put more crystals in the package for the price you pay for the item. It should contain at least twice the amount of crystals for price. That is why it gets a generous four stars in my opinion. Overall it does the job as I have owned the humidifier for 5 years and it is working great with the new crystals.Sincerely,S.

Good product

Product cost was less than shipping by Cosmos and that was in Canada. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

This Oais Humigel replacement kit is great! It saves from having to replace the complete humidifier and is quite easy to use! Shipping was quick, too!
