I purchased this as an alternative to the "nifty fifty" for use on my APS-C R7, so I have an effective focal length of 56mm.It is a very enjoyable lens to use. The quality of the images I get from it is outstanding, a lot of detail is resolved. With such a fast aperture it is great to use in low light environments.It also works pretty well for some macro work.The auto focus is quite loud and not as quick as in other lenses.Overall, it is highly recommended.

This lens stands out currently on the canon RF mount. Been the cheapest lens available. It's wide aperture let's in a lot of light and mild macro ability with image stabilisation make this a feature rich lens.This lens is also a lot sharper than the closest EF equivalent lens.However with it been the cheapest lens. It also operates a bit cheaper than other RF lenses. With more basic autofocus. It gets the job done but it's not as quick as other lenses.It also misses features like a gasket on the lens mount. It feels like it would cost Canon next to nothing to add this but they will not.This lens is perfect for general photography of the 35mm focal length suites your needs. Great in low light and can give very out of focus backgrounds when you focus closely on your subject.

This lens is superb. Yes the auto focus is a little noisy but it does not detract from the overall quality. Images are pin sharp and because of its light weight it is ideal for using in low light at a very low shutter speed. This is my standard lens for my EOS RP.

Nicely packaged..lens looks good quality.Fits my canon R7 perfectly..focusing is amazing. Have no bad remakes as yet.

Bought on a whim for under £350 on Prime day. Very impressed for the price. It’s a very versatile fast lens, with macro, and gives really sharp images. The STM motor is a touch noisy and it does lack weatherproofing but I really can’t complain.

I'm very pleased with this product. Most of my lenses are Canon L series, but I really enjoy this compact 35mm macro lens. It is a much appreciated lower-priced RF lens. I've found that it takes nice crisp images when paired with the Canon R5, focuses quickly, and at f/1.8 is fast enough for most uses.
