Unfortunately this reel is the biggest piece of crap I have ever fished with. My first halibut trip it was broken and wouldn't retrieve at all with any pressure on.I sent it in for warranty which took 6 months as they lost it in the warehouse.Just fished the repaired reel and it is simply brutal to retrieve line. My partners Penn was ten times easier. Fishing in 300 feet of water was just not possible. Even pulling a 2 pound weight on a spreader bar was a battle.I tossed in the trash and fished a 60's penn salmon reel that handily landed a halibut.Bottom line, don't buy and don't bother with the warranty
