Wonderful pen!!
I love this pen! I have many fountain pens, but I think this might be my new favorite.

A Pen That Writes With The Flair Of A $$$ Fountain Pen Without The Hassles
The Pentel Tradio Sketch Pen is my favorite pen. It allows you to write with the flair and expression of a very expensive and ostentatious fountain pen, using wide strokes to very tiny lines and everything in between. It is superb for sketching. But the Tradio is not expensive or complex. It accepts refills, so there is no ink spillage. It does not require refilling from an ink bottle, which can be a hazardous undertaking. You can drop the Tradio, and the most damage that will be done is to the refill, not to a very expensive gold nib used by pricy fountain pens. I have lent my Tradio to many people. The uniform reaction has been positive. Most people ask where they can buy one.

Versatile art or writing pen, great range of pressure response
Genuine Pentel, artistic or stylish writing. Excellent nib/tip durable and flexible. Recommend heavier paper though.

Great reliable inking pen!
Overall, this is a great reliable drawing pen. The tip feels scratchy at first but I got used to it as I started drawing more with it. I don't have any complaints other than the ink splatters a bit when sketching or drawing too fast, but once I realized this, I started drawing a bit more slowly. Also, the pen bleeds when held in the same location for a second too long. Also, the pen itself is very lightweight. PROS: Water based, so it doesn't bleed when using alcohol markers. Creates dark, thick or thin lines. Ink dries immediately and will NOT smudge. It can be refilled!! CONS: Tip feels scratchy, and ink splatters when drawing fast. Some parts of the nib do not ink when tilting pen or drawing at an angle. Bottomline: I would definitely get this pen again, or recommend it to someone who is using it, while sharing some of the cons of course. It really works for the type of medium that I use; Copics (alcohol based markers and pencil and ink)

I did my research to find a good pen for myself & for my artistic relatives and friends. This one exceeds my expectations. Just the right ink flow, line width, and depth of black color. Excellent pen for sketching, cartooning, drawing. Affordable as well.

Great Artist pen
If you like to sketch. This is a great pen. You can take a water brush and activate the ink for shading. Great art tool

Neat concept. Doesn't work. Better off with a regular pen.
Thought it would be pretty good based off the reviews. It's like trying to draw with a fountain pen except worse. The shape of the nib is supposed to allow for variation in line width caused by applying more pressure to it. The width variation is very very hard to notice. On top of that, the nib shape causes the tip to skip on the paper if not held in the right spot or if you plan on making any curves. You can feel the skipping in your hand and it causes the line to look messy. Ok for straight lines though! I tossed it in the garbage. Sad.
