Great Muay Thai Training Gloves
I recently purchased a pair of Fairtex Muay Thai Gloves, and I can confidently say they are some of the best gloves I have ever used for training and sparring. First and foremost, the craftsmanship is top-notch. Fairtex is renowned for producing high-quality martial arts gear, and these gloves are no exception. The materials used are premium, with genuine leather that feels durable and is built to last. After weeks of heavy use, there's no sign of wear and tear, which is a testament to their durability. The fit of the gloves is excellent. They provide a snug, comfortable feel that secures my hands and wrists effectively, reducing the risk of injury. The gloves offer ample padding without being too bulky, striking a perfect balance between protection and flexibility. This makes them ideal for both bag work and sparring sessions. One of the standout features is the wrist support. Fairtex has designed these gloves to provide exceptional wrist stability, minimizing the chances of hyperextension or other wrist injuries. The Velcro strap system is robust and ensures a tight, secure fit every time. In terms of performance, the Fairtex Muay Thai Gloves excel. The padding is strategically distributed to offer optimal shock absorption, which means my hands stay protected even during intense training sessions. The gloves also provide excellent feedback, allowing me to feel my strikes while maintaining safety. Another significant aspect is the ventilation. The gloves include strategically placed air holes that keep my hands cool and dry, even during extended workouts. This helps prevent the build-up of odor and makes for a more comfortable training experience overall. Aesthetically, the gloves are sleek and stylish. Fairtex offers a range of colors and designs, which allows for some personal expression while maintaining a professional appearance. In summary, the Fairtex Muay Thai Gloves are an exceptional investment for any serious martial artist. Their superior quality, excellent fit, and outstanding performance make them a standout choice for training and sparring. I highly recommend these gloves to anyone looking to elevate their Muay Thai or boxing training.

Love these Muay Thai Boxing Gloves!
I'm an adult doing martial arts including sparring and muay thai. These gloves came highly recommended from black belts at my dojo--for good reason. I've been using them close to a year so I can write a good review. They are comfortable, rugged and durable; the velcro straps hold well but are easy to apply and take off. I purchased 'Spilled Paint' which is very stylish. My punching is much more solid with these gloves than the beginner gloves I used to wear. Also very important to me: all synthetic material--no animal (cow) hide (like Yakkao). After weekly sparring I dry them out using using Meister glove fresheners. Glad I purchased from Amazon because of the return policy--these came straight from Thailand as a customer order from Fairtex. Excellent value and highly recommended.

Great quality all around, but the style will vary...
This is my third pair of Fairtex gloves. The first two are the BGV5 models which I want to comment on first. The 16oz Red BGV5 was purchased in Sept 2015 The 16oz Black BGV5 was purchased in Oct 2016. The 16oz Black and Yellow BGV14Y were purchased Feb 2017. -The first pair was used for sparring, pads and bag work for a year, 5 times a week on average. I used some miso bags to help keep them from getting gross inside over this time. Another year with these gloves and they now started showing some cracking/opening around the wrist. The wrist support was/is great and the hand room has enough space to not feel restricted and not enough to feel it floating around. -The second pair was purchased to replace the first for sparring. They seemed lighter/smaller but hand to hand, I could never tell. I figured the padding just expanded over time on the first one. 6 months later, they're still great sparring. Similar to the first pair, the wrist support is solid, seems to be a bit more hand room in this one but again, not enough for it to swim around. I'll break here and say the most recent pair is what caused me to do the side by side and weigh using a food scale. The BGV1s, despite the size difference, weight exactly the same, just a little over 18oz. I wish I weighed this at time of purchase to see if it changed over time. Yes, they were weighed while dry not been used for almost two days. The BGV14Y, the apparent longest of the three, weighed a little over 14oz, despite being having 16oz printed on the wrist strap. I bought these for sparring but given the lighter weight, I'm just decommissioning the red BGV1s and using these for pads and bags. -The most recent pair, are very simliar as far as wrist support, maybe just a bit more. However, the hand room is much smaller. Ironically for me, these would be great for clinch work if they actually weighed what they say. I still need to break them in more but so far they have been great for the bag. I would give the BGV14Y 5 stars if they at least weighed what they're advertised as.

Punchers Glove
Definitely a punchers style glove, different from the BGV1, whereas BGV14 you feel the impact. Styling is nice. I’m approaching two decades of Muay Thai and Fairtex has not let me down

The shipping was fast (2 weeks from Thailand to Canada). The product was well packaged and it came with a letter and a dog tag from fairtex. Superb build quality, I can't notice any bad stitching or threads coming out. Even though they are made with microfiber synthetic leather they smell pretty good. They require less maintenance than real leather and for what I've heard they last a long time. I'm skiny and tall, I have large hands and they fit just right (12 oz glove). As far as performance goes I can't tell since I am just starting my Muay Thai journey so I don't have anything to compare hem to, but being such an iconic brand I'm sure they'll work great for anyone.
