This was a life saver!!
My 2012 Kia Soul had been shutting off while in idle, had intermittent hard starts, and when It did restart had no tachometer operation. My mechanic could not figure out why as no codes were given and the check engine light was not on. My car had reached a point where it was unsafe to drive. I finally did an online search and found a Kia forum where others detailed EXACTLY what was happening in my car and said the crankshaft position sensor was probably failing. Kia wanted 3 times what I paid on Amazon and even my mechanic was impressed that this part was OEM quality. It took him less than 20 minutes to install it free of charge and the problem went away. To say I am pleased is an understatement because I was thinking of selling the car. It now runs like new and life is good again!!

2016 Kia Soul 1.6L intermittent no start
Been fighting an intermittent no start issue for months. Didn't have Identi-fix so I was left with Google where I found people with the same vehicle with the same issue replacing high pressure fuel pumps, purge valves, all solving their issue. No codes to go off of till today when it logged a crankshaft position sensor code, but it starts and runs. Hesitation to throw more parts at it I let it ride. Now it finally will not start and does not log crankshaft speed on the scan tool. Installed this sensor and it solved my issues.

This is a very economical replacement
This was purchased to replace the faulty sensor on my 2015, Kia Soul !It fit perfectly and work and has continued to work now for over a month at this point.BTW, The symptoms my car exhibited when the original sensor wasn't working, was.Hard to start, had to attempt several times. When It did start and run, there was no tachometer operation. There was no engine check light or OBD code. It also illuminated the Traction control light. When trying to drive, it would not shift gears properly. Had to do it manually.Turning off the car for a minute or two and trying to restart would sometimes create an operational condition.

Solved my hard starting issues on my 2014 kia Forte.
If your Forte is hard starting and throwing odd lights like the stability controll, and the tachometer remains at zero while rought idling, this might be the cure. Good luck.

Excelente
