This is the unrefined version of castor oil so it is darker and has a very strong scent. I used it in a DIY body cream made with coconut oil, butter, and milk and it overpowered the coconut scent. But I'm not knocking it for that. I knew it was a heartier oil and I really like it actually. Just be aware that it is the darker stronger castor oil.

I have naturally frizzy curly hair and I get it permanently straightened. I put this on my roots and massage it into my scalp before each shower and let it sit for at least five minutes before washing it out. My hair is so shiny after using this, I love it! I always blow dry my hair, and before my roots would be frizzy where new growth is but now it's smooth and so shiny without looking greasy. Pictured is what my hair looks like after blow drying, and no extra products on my roots. The consistency is very thick even though it's formulated with argan oil. I added some extra argan oil to mine to thin it out a little. The color is a translucent grey and it has an earthy smell. The outside of the bottle gets oily but I think that might be unavoidable. I will keep using this for a long time! Update: I bought this product a few more times and have had good results. Most recently however, the oil I received was clear instead of dark gray. It also feels less thick, which is easier to work with but suspicious since castor oil is supposed to be thick and difficult. I'm worried they gentrified the black Haitian castor oil and disappointed that the product coloration and thickness is inconsistent across my various purchases. I don't think a clear castor oil is natural or to be expected from black Haitian castor oil. However, I used the clear one a couple of times and my hair still looks fine. I might try another brand next time.

This oil has grow my daughter hair and my husband hair in just a little over a month it works so fast because I do protective styles for our hair and leave it be.

This is my favorite brand for caster oil, not watered down with other oils. They have some options for pure canaster oil bit this one includes argan. I posted pic of ingredients. This brand OKAY Pure Naturals provides thick great quality caster oil. They smell like caster oil. I thonl some people dont like that dmell and that is why they other brand mix caster oil woth other ingredients. I like that I can choose to mix with my own lotion or use without additives. I use this on the roots of my hair to improve growth and health. Once a month I mix it with egg whites use hand blender to foam it up and apply to all my hair for a 20 minute oil / protien treatment. I put it on my face monthy for oil treatment. I will put it on my feet. In the winter I use it frequently on my elbows, hands, and lips. Beware it takes tome to rub in and this oil is so thick it will rub on everything. When I dont have time to rub it in I mix a few drops qith lotuon and take off.

I use this oil every other day after a chemical burn. Has an odd smell but it eventually goes away.

This is the real deal fam! Thick and natural like black gold! I use it on my scalp and in my butters to keep my skin moisturized!!! Wish it was a bit bigger though.

It works but I don't like the thick stickiness of the liquid,I recommend when you use this it is to be used and braid your hair down and keep it tied up,use it as a protective cover and always keep your hair braided after use of this product,use it as it said or use it after the hair has absorbed it completely or it's going to cake up and be real sticky and your hair will easily be pulled out, so becareful of over using it

Edges were thinning out from having my hair braided. Wow! Does this work fast. I noticed growth and thickness returning in 2 weeks. This is a really good product. I usually use it early in the morning after I shower, so that it has a chance to sink in and then I style. I make sure that I’m not putting tension on my hair with styling right now. It’s working really well.
