Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment, (TPBA2)

The most comprehesive account of developmental stages available
This book is a hallmark work in that there is no account to my knowledge that is as comprehensive in terms of identifying developmental stages. To that end, each month of life is thoroughly reviewed with a careful look for important developmental milestones. These milestones are relevant in terms of social, emotional, communication, pre-academic, cognitive, and motor developmental areas. While this book is more commonly used by psychologists, I know of speech language professionals who also use the age tables in their work. Further, the TPBA approach prescribed here is an innovative and comprehensive way to assess children's development.

great resource for SLPs and educators.
This is one of my resources when I am reviewing children's performance. It reviews all aspects of children skills under 5 years of age and provides excellent checklists. I highly recommend it.

Okay I guess
Got this book for my class but haven't really used it as much but i'm guessing it is a good book. Professor mentions that it will be helpful for when we are in the clinic dealing with clients.

Great book
It is great book. It provides a good foundation of child development. Having that foundation, teachers can have the right lenses to identify issues in their students.

Five Stars
Useful information, family friendly and accurate. The CD with forms is a necessary add on, though.
