I bought it as a relatively simple way of polishing a 1" X 2" Stuart Beam Engine cast iron cylinder after boring out the casting. I used some grinding paste as well and the results were okay. My lathe work may not have been perfect, so the Flex-Hone tool did smooth out the bore.Not adjustable of course, but any bore approximately 1" will be okay. I put the wire shaft in the lathe and held the cylinder by hand (with care) and slid it in and out - see pictures:

Great item.Purchased to fit a 68mm 2-stroke cylinder.This size in my opinion was perfect.15-20 strikes in each cylinder with a good amount of Duck Oil and it came out perfectly cross-hatched.Great item for the money.
