LAKEN Canteens & Water Bottle's Thermo Water

I've had this flask for a couple of months now, and been using it fairly regularly. I bought the 1 litre size. The flask itself looks great, and I was very happy to find one with such a large capacity, which are hard to find. It also comes with a nice matt finish that is easy to grip, and the lid that also doubles as a handle is nifty.Unfortunately I have had a lot of issues with the cap- specifically leaking. The thread to screw on the lid can be very tricky to get right- even when you are very careful with how you do it, it can still leak. This has caused me quite a few problems, one of which is everything in my bag becoming soaked with coffee. Certainly not a great start to a morning! I have had many different thermo flasks from different makes before, and never had this problem.Another slight design problem unfortunately is the size. Despite wanting a larger flask, I have realised that with a flask this big, every time you lower the flask after drinking, the liquid inside tends to splash back up and into your face/ shirt, unless you do it very slowly, or pour it into a cup. Apart from making you look like a bit of a twit, it also leaves you with some lovely coffee stains for the day, which is not usually the look I go for. So I wouldn't recommend this size if you're always on the move.And lastly, the heat retention is okay, but not amazing. Keeps my coffee hot for around 4-5 hours. This may be due to the metal ring at the lip getting very hot, as well as the lid possibly. I'm actually retuning mine and hopefully getting one that better suits me!

This was less than impressive. It leaked all over my little boy's school bag on the first use and he's not been able to use it since. I went off the reviews to purchase this and was really looking forward to receiving something durable to last my son a few years. Didn't deliver a thing. The seal isn't easily removed either. I tried to remove it to see if the leak was something to do with how it was sat, but it was near impossible. So it would make cleaning underneath very difficult if you're able to do it at all. This would make for the ideal breeding ground for bacteria and possibly mould. Not something I'm willing to risk with my little boy. Needless to say, it went in the bin. Waste of money.

This bottle has made me feel like I have my first child. I love love love it. You forget how bad warm plasticy tasting water is very quickly after purchasing. It's encouraged me to drink more water, and the design is great.It is however worth mentioning that the wide mouthed 1l bottle does not have any additional drink cap options, so should you also want to use this for sports, I wouldn't get larger than the 750ml.I live in a hot country, and I fill my water at the water machine at work at 6pm, and if I still have some left in the morning the next day, it's barely warmer than it was when first poured. Crisp, cold, clean tasting water all day!(I also saw a comment below about someone who found the water sort of jumped out when they were trying to sip, and I do know what they mean, you just got to be patient and take your sips slow! Had I known that I wouldn't be able to get a sports cap, i may also have got the smaller size, you do have to stop what you are doing to drink!)

Fantastic purchase! I wanted a 1L thermos to drink hot water out of at work and to take 1L cold drink to the beach (mostly to make sure I was drinking 2L/day) It is just what I wanted! It’s a 1L but you can still drink from the top easily, or pour out if you wanted to drink from a container. The colour is really nice too! Came quickly with no fuss.

Nice quality flask. Handy that the top acts as a handle. Seems to insulate for a reasonable length of time too. Not tried it with hot liquids only cold as our office doesn't provide chilled water. Keeps water cool for around 8 hours or so.

Generally a very good design. Lid seals very well and tidy construction. Only drawback is it won't keep hot liquids that hot for very long (compared to other glass thermoses) as the lid becomes very warm to the touch. Insulation design of lid needs improving i'd say.

What can I say ? It keeps things cool for up to a day.
