are these lights really more than 8,500 lumens?

Hi to answer your question it’s not more than 8,500 lm I think it’s around there as far as brightness goes it is bright! It’s the brightest lights I ever used for my garage and I have tried all different things to help me see better at night and day time when I’m working on bikes and cars and it’s been a blessing to have them now I hardly have to use drop lights all over the car or bike that I’m working on I can see what I’m working on and I think it’s the best investment I made money well spent

I see no evidence of a UL listing on Amazon or the Barinna wrb site. If they had a UL listing they woud not hide it. I would never plug in an electric device in my home with no UL listing.

will these work good in a 30x60 shop with high ceilings ?

I’d get 2 sets at least. My shop is 16x24. One set is fantastic, but it’s right at the limit for the space being lit well enough to really see the work.and take video and pictures anywhere in the shop. I think one set would barely cover that space, and you would have some dark spots. Ideally I’d go with 4 sets for your space if your doing any sort of work that requires attention to detail. Now if all you were doing was storing stuff, one set would probably work. If you’re doing mechanic work, you could get away with one set as long as you also got some repositionable work lights. I worked with minimum light in my shop for several years. I’d always see things I missed in the daylight. No more. Only drawback I see is how close these have to be together if you want to link them. In my shop one set spans the entire distance, but a single line spanning 60 feet would take a minimum of 12 lights, and these only let you string six, so you would need to separately wire or use at least 2 extension cords to span that space. Bottom line, for the price, this set is ridiculous. Extremely easy to set up and works great. This is the first product I’ve ever felt strongly enough about to respond positively. That says a lot. Get these lights.
