My daughter has a 1 year old beagle-rottweiler pup and visited this weekend. Great dog but, like most puppies, getting him to chill can be a challenge. I bought these because my lab used to love them. Same reaction now. The pup would curl on the floor and gnaw at these for 20-30 minutes at a sitting. Each 6" bone lasted about 1-2 days depending on the amount of indoor time (it rained a lot). I assessed the health comments from several sources and do not believe these are harmful (if they were I would not buy them). The harder, thicker bones like these appeal to chewing dogs far more than the thin, hollow ones.

These bones last a long, long time even with two big time chewers. They love them. They even share them because they last so long, the dogs get tired and let the other one chew for a while.

Dogs love them! We have a 60 pound husky and a 75 pound Golden, and these keep them busy for a long time. They don’t shred, and are well made. They also don’t smell, and don’t give our dogs bad gas. Also if they get dry, sprinkle a little water and throw it in the microwave for a few seconds to make it smell like whatever our dogs think they smell like.Another tip - a couple drops of liquid smoke keeps them interested if it takes your dogs a while to finish them.
