I've been using the Nioxin System 1 products for well over ten years. They've performed better than anything else I've tried for my hair type. This conditioner is the same old minty goodness that I'm used to, I'm happy to say. I was a little worried about a counterfeit because I'd read that this was occurring on amazon. I even looked at the negative reviews to see if any of them implied a counterfeit product. For example, if they say it's watery or different than it used to be, that strongly implies a counterfeit product or that it's been tampered with. There were a few reviews like that! If you're curious, it's worth an internet search about amazon counterfeit. But long story short, if you've been using this for a long time and you receive a product that doesn't meet your expectations, you should definitely return it and try again. That was the takeaway for me.

Truly could not be happier with the results of this conditioner. My scalp is extremely sensitive and I have battled dry scalp and dandruff my entire life. ONE use of this in combination with the Biolage dandruff shampoo and I was no longer flakey and much, much less of my hair fell out each wash. Highly recommend!

I only use a dime size and massage through my hair. My hairdresser recommended this for mild thinning. It makes my scalp tingle for a couple of minutes which is pleasant. Nice minty smell and I have a sense that it is working. Will buy it again.

If you're reading this review you may be dealing with thinning hair as I am. As a woman this is especially difficult but a very common occurrence as one ages. First thing to always remember is that true beauty comes from within. Although this product does not make any claims to actually regrow hair it's designed to create a healthy environment on the scalp. I feel that by using this product I'm giving my hair the best chance it has by nourishing it at the roots. I first use the Nioxin shampoo and then follow up with this conditioner. I leave the conditioner on for a few minutes and can feel and enjoy the cool tingling sensation. Best way to describe it is that it feels stimulating and refreshing. The fragrance reminds me of eucalyptus or mint. The consistency of the conditioner is very rich and creamy ( I've posted a pic.) As far as the cosmetic part, my hair is soft and shiny but no more than other good conditioners I use. I will continue to use the Nioxin products as I've had no negative side effects and can see it's use as beneficial in giving my hair the best chance it has.

I originally bought this as a set from another retailer. But I’ve been buying from Amazon since and will continue. Although the scent is strong off wintergreen/peppermint/ all those mint flavors… it has not only lessened my bald spot but also improved my dry scalp. I don’t like to wash my hair everyday and with this conditioner (as with its shampoo) I don’t have to! It did stop away a little color from my dye job but that was within the first week of getting my hair done. After week two, the color stays…A so glad I found this. I’ve thrown all the department store shampoos and conditioners out!
