SMEDENT Dental Surgical Loupe 3.5X Working Distance 420mm Burgundy Sport Frame

I've owned many pairs of loupes through my time, I have given some old expensive adjustable pairs to my wife, a friend here or there, I have mostly custom fit non adjustable pairs now, three different magnifications at work, and really have no complaints from those very expensive, but necessary pieces of equipment. So when I saw these, and the price, with the decent reviews, well, I just wanted to try them, just to use for electronics soldering and such. When I got them, I opened them in front of a few colleagues, and we all tried them on with amazement at how well the vision was.....for this price. Next thing you know, they are getting the link, and likely have friends and family in mind for gifts, and possible cheap back ups. I would have to say, in a pinch, these loupes would do very well in a clinical situation with an attached light. They would more than pay for themselves in a day if your primary magnifiers had a malfunction, or got lost. Would they hold up to day in day out wear and tear, not sure, are the lenses glass or plastic? Not sure. But the clarity was shocking, and the focal length is pretty spot on for me, as well as those who tried them on. For the price I paid for these, I'm pretty impressed.

I work in 2 offices as a hygienist and needed a second pair of loops without the price tag. You have to play with it to get it right for you, it takes a minute to adjust to your liking. For this price I'm getting an extra one.

The three star review is so people might read it and is totally the result of an error on my part. I work engraving plates on a desk and am not a dentist. The lenses that I use are circa 1932 and are getting a little long in the tooth. I bought these as an "upgrade" They are a little heavy and the field of view is a little more narrow than what I have become accustom too with my pre WWII pair. Also the depth of field is very narrow. Other than that they seem well made and comfortable and come with a nice case and accessories. The working distance is almost arms length and I need something a great deal closer. I will find a use for them but they are not going to work for what I bought them for. Totally my fault as the working distance is clearly listed but if you are considering these you should pay attention to this and what you want them for.

Wore them through out hygiene school. 100% recommend esp if you want to try loupes and get used to wearing them. Work well!

Rating value for money - these are not $2000 optics but they are surprisingly good for $30. Comfortable to wear, easy enough to adjust lenses, and nice clean image. Takes a bit to get used to depth of field but once adapted they are great. Used for sharpening edges and small work in shop but took into office to share w coworker who does fine scale fabric work. I only use as needed (not regularly), have not worn for long periods (<30 min), and will see on longevity, but so far so good.

I’m a dentist and I’ve been using SurgiTel loupes for years. When mine broke and needed repair, I was looking for a temporary replacement and came across this one on Amazon. I’ve been using it for about a month now, and honestly, it’s a great deal. It offers good magnification, is lightweight, effective, and very affordable. I also appreciate the comfortable working distance—it really exceeded my expectations for a temporary solution.

Great product. Good magnification and served me well

Like that the lenses are attached to (?)polycarbonate wrap-around glasses so they're comfortable to wear. Didn't like the slightly fuzzy view compared to similar clip-on lenses attached to standard glass spectacles.
