NOW Foods - Red Mineral Algae Vegetarian Calcium - 180 Vegetarian Capsules

We have been taking plant based, vegetarian calcium with minerals for years now, with good results I might add, but the brand we were taking was getting so expensive. The other negative with the prior brand is that it had excessive vitamin D which the doctor said needed to come down. I was on the hunt for something similar and this fit the bill! I've taken Now supplements in the past and I trust this family owned company for quality supplements. They are made and tested in the USA. With this brand it is in capsule form which is easier to take. We take two capsules each with breakfast and dinner meals. No issues. This is an Aquamin supplement which is red marine algae that is highly bioactive and contains 72 trace minerals along with the calcium and magnesium. So along with the cheaper price this quality supplement is a win-win in my book. We will continue to re-order.

Best calcium supplement I have found. It doesn't cause gi issues. Easy enough to take, not bigger or smaller than other capsules. Will buy again.

I began using the NOW Red mineral algae calcium several years ago when my PCP wanted me to up my calcium intake. Calcium carbonate would make me nauseous after taking it for long periods. A nurse suggested taking vegetarian calcium. No issues ever since. Helps with my bone density.

The capsules are large and the dose is 4 so I take 2 in the morning with warm tea or coffee and 2 in the evening with warm tea or chocolate. It does seem to work well.

I really like this, I feel like in addition to supplementing calcium that there are other benefits from algae. I split the 4 capsule dose into am and pm. This has become a regular core supplement. I feel like this form is very absorbable.

I started taking these to get more calcium in my diet, and so far I've not noticed any kind of negative side effect. The pills are large, which is sometimes difficult while swallowing, and the 'serving size' is four pills which seems excessive. I take half and feel fine. Your mileage may vary taking the full recommended dose.

I bought these because I’m tired of taking vit d and calcium separately. Cheaper, too, and from a gmp manufacturer.

This is one of the best plant based calcium at a very afforadable price. If someone wants to improve Bone Density this is the product but apart from it ensure your diet consists of green vegetables which provide boron which assists calcium absorption.
