Renewed my faith in the Animal
My Dyson animal vacuum was unusable after about 1 year of using it 2x month, so maybe 24 uses, and I was prepared to toss it the trash, the battery would last about 2 minutes, and go dead. Then I posted a question on Google about why that would be.Seems the battery is easily replaced, and at a reasonable cost. Ordered one from Amazon, put in in the vacuum and, I can vacuum the entire house again.I hope this battery lasts longer than the original

No quality control or customer service
When I first received this product, I would have given it Five Stars. It worked great but after 2 months the battery is completely dead. I would guess that the microcontroller that controls battery charging failed. However, we will never know since there is absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from the seller "CRUCOUT." These guys seem to be hiding somewhere and do not reply to any messages. So save your $$$ and do not purchase products from CRUCOUT!!!

Great after-market replacement
There are several vendors offering replacement for Dyson, and that's understandable since Dyson is charging $150 for a replacement that should be about half the price. I did not try other products, but this particular one is almost third of the price and I feel it is better than the original in every way (well, maybe except for the original color but it's almost unnoticeable)Here is what good about this product:1. This battery is STRONG! it lasts longer than the original, even on MAX SUCTION mode. I managed to go over the entire house (over 30 minutes) with it running constantly2. The light indicator is different than the original but I think it is actually an improvement. While charging the light will flash 1 (very low) 2 (medium) or 3 (almost full) and when it's done charging the light will turn off. when using the light ill glow 3 (full) 2 (half full) or 1 (getting empty) when not in use the light will be off.3. The replacement is easy. Since there are no instructions you might want to watch a youtube video just to see where the screws are, this battery is about 1 mm wider than the original so some pressure need to be applied, but after it's done its sits well in place. Some things to notice for the picky amongst us:1. Color is slightly brighter tint than the original. For all I know the Dyson replacement might be the same so I wouldn't hold it against this product, the material feels good otherwise.2. The battery is significantly (1/2 inch) longer than the original. This is understandable due to its larger capacity. The charging mechanism is spring-loaded so this battery fits easily in the charging station anyway.3. Shipping was quick, but it comes in a tiny box with two filters cramped into it. will be nice to ship in a slightly larger box, but again - this is nitpicking.Overall I recommend this product a lot. I hope Dyson lay off their greediness and sell their product for $70-$75 since they know their battery only lasts for about 2 years.

Works great
I’m actually surprised at how good of a job this battery has done. It’s always concerning to purchase third party batteries for a device and you never know what long term effects it could have, but so far it’s been really good. Vacuum works like new and the battery lasts much longer than the original did, which is awesome. Hopefully that doesn’t harm the vacuum over time, but the original battery was near useless so I’m glad I’m getting more out of the vacuum and this battery has extended its life either way.

Perfect replacement for your Dyson Battery.....
Let's face it, as great as Dyson's are, batteries eventually die and need to be replaced. We'd reached a point where Dyson's battery wouldn't last a minute to it needed replacement. After punching in the code on the battery, this unit popped up and I gave it a shot. Installation was easy........just unscrew the old one and pop this back in. Charged it up and it operates just like it did when we first bought our Dyson. The battery life is equivalent to a new out of the box Dyson so for the small expense, we now have a brand new unit. Overall, no issues buying here and I'd purchase again easily.

Total CRAP!
Do not buy this battery! I tried 2, because I gave them the benefit of the doubt when the first one was faulty. It looks like a match to the Dyson V8 battery, but it does not work like one! I would plug it in to charge, and when I would unplug and push the button, nothing would happen, vacuum would not go on, but if I plugged it back into charger and took it off again, it would work? WTF? This continued every time I wanted to use the vacuum, I'd have to unplug, re-plug, unplug to get vacuum to go on, and this would only work SOMETIMES, the rest of the time, nothing. So I returned it as defective and a new one was sent. Same problem, only with second battery, the vacuum would also just randomly go on all by itself, when no one was near it, and the battery would "surge" power, and vacuum would pulse on/off until I unscrewed the whole thing. That must be a fire hazard! Do yourself a favor and trust me... DO NOT BUY THIS CRAPPY PRODUCT!! I never leave reviews... but this was too awful not to.

Lasted just under 2 years
Worked fine, never quite perfectly, sometimes the trigger wouldn’t engage. The battery was purchased in late October 2020 and just now died in early October 2022.It had been showing its age by not lasting very long for the last 6 months, but it still ran until this week.So around 2 years of use which is not great, I believe the original battery lasted longer but I wasn’t actually counting then. Might go with the first-party replacement battery now, if the price and availability is comparable.

GUESS WHAT? It lasts about 9 months!
I bought this, seemed like a good idea. I bought it Jan. 2020 and it's dead by Oct. 2020. The Dyson one i had prior lasted about 3 years, maybe more. So, you get what you pay for. I also have heard that these cheaper replacement batteries are more prone to catching fire and having other safety issues since they aren't put through as much rigorous testing as a Dyson battery would be. Not worth the risk when it's constantly plugged in and doesn't last anyway. You might as well buy the Dyson which now I have to buy in addition to this one I bought this year. Lesson learned. UGH.
