Fox Run Bakeware Safe Knife, Non-Stick Safe Knife For Cake, Brownies, and More

Have a really nice non-stick lasagna pan that hadn’t been used because I was afraid someone would use a regular knife and ruin it. Then I found this knife, and decided to give it a try. Worked great! Cut the cooked lasagna easily and did not scratch the pan. And that’s not easy, because I make really thick lasagna, with lots of meat and cheese. My family has orders to not use it for other things, like a pry bar. It isn’t the cheapest, but well worth the money. Definitely recommend it.

Perfect knife for cutting brownies, corn bread, pies and other baked goods. I used to save disposable plastic knives for this reason, but now there's no need as this cuts perfectly without crumbling the edges. Lightweight but heavy duty enough to cut through a thick and hard crust with ease - it's surprisingly sharp! I only hand wash plastic and it's held up well to many many hand washes but can't comment on how it would do in the dishwasher.

Love this item and now have 3 of them. They work great on nonstick pans, but also keep regular pans from being scratched by regular utensils. I’ve been using the original one I’d purchased for many years now, but sometimes needed more than one at a time, so I bought 2 more!

I have just received my third of this knife, replaced because they break. I was cutting a dense bakery item inside a 9" pan, and when using the side of the blade to slide the cut piece to the side so I could insert a small spatula, the handle broke off. Liking the functionality, I replaced the knife twice now because it does not mar delicate bakeware. I treat my USA PANS gingerly because I love their completely nonstick surface. I noticed the blade of this knife has changed from my earlier ones: it is now ridged and comes to a finer edge at the serration. That may facilitate the knife cutting more effectively, although I've never used my knife to cut anything tough. I only hand wash this knife. That said I decided to also try the Wilton 2103-0134 Nylon Dessert Knife, Gray, to see if it is more durable. Too early to speak of its durability, but the Wilson also did not mar my USA PANS and worked fine cutting into a dense cake inside the pan. The blades of both knives are same in length. The handles are different: Bakeware Buddy just under 4"; Wilton about 5.5". The Wilton knife blade seems to be molded with its handle; the Bakeware Buddy has a clear distinction between blade and handle (although I imagine both are molded as one piece).

Brownies should always be at room temperature (or close) before they are cut. That being said, they can be really hard to cut - they are very tough (at least for the chewy one we love). Using a sharp knife is the easiest way to cut brownies, but you run the risk of damaging you pan. I saw this and thought it was worth trying. I am so glad I bought it! It works really well - even on the outer edges of the brownies. It cuts perfectly and the brownies do not stick to the blade - I love that! Easy to clean - I wash mine by hand. It is a quick way to clean it and no worries about reside from the dishwasher. I read a few reviews which said it breaks too easily. I am not sure what they are doing with it, but mine has a bit of give so I can get under the brownies and lift them out with no problems at all. If someone is going to push really hard and bend it too much, I guess it could break. It does not need a lot of pressure to get under the brownies, so just use a little and this knife will last a long time.

While very sturdy, the tip of it did melt a little when we used it on something right out of the oven...guess you're not supposed to do that. It does have a lot of cutting power and I wish I'd had one years ago. This would make a good imperative gift to give those who are just starting out housekeeping, as everyone should have one with today's pans.

I've used one for 10 years and have given away to many people. It's a sharp cut and doesn't make a mess.

This is the only knife that is allowed to be used to cut cakes and meals while they are IN the cooking device. We had so many pans and non-stick beautiful cake pans all scratched up from people cutting in the bad and this knife changed the game. I ordered 8 and everyone in the family got one. This is not going to be your dicing and chopping knife—this will be your cake cutting knife.

The reason I purchases this knife is that it said it would NOT scratch non-stick pans. That is not so as it did just that. The knife is small, serrated and light and does a great job moving around the pan but press very, very,lightly as it did scratch my pan. It does a great job on lettuce and tomatoes and any light/soft vegetable/fruit. It a lovely shade of blue. CMe quickly with some other items all packed in 1 box which I totally appreciate
