Works wonderfully. Haven't seen any ants at all! I believe i ordered the small for my outside cat & It holds about a cup of dry food. Stays clean being that the water is covered. No worries about food sitting in water around the bowl. Glad I decided on This bowl!

I am extremely pleased with this product. We leave kitty food outside for the stray kitty that we feed and we constantly had to throw out the kitty food due to little brown ant infestations in the food. I was skeptical buying this product as it is not the cheapest product, but it does work. Very important: make sure the two bowls are set at the highest setting from each other so that the ants cannot reach the top bowl. Also, keep the bottom bowl filled with water so the ants can’t climb up to the food. We’ve been using this bowl for sometime now and not one single little brown ant in the food. I’m not sure how well this product would work for the big black ants as I have read that they seem to be more capable of reaching the food but I can’t speak from experience. I purchased the smaller of the two bowls available and it is still rather large for a kitty so I placed a smaller bowl inside the dish and it works perfectly for the kitty, no issues. This bowl is very sturdy, durable and easy to clean. I highly recommend this product if you have a little brown ant problem with your pet’s food.

These are fantastic and really work to keep ants out of your pet's food. Years ago I bought no-ant pet bowls in a very similar design but could not find anything similar when I looked for more. There are other designs out there, but the water moat is too small and has to be refilled too often or the water spills out when you carry them from the sink. These bowls have a large protected water reservoir under the feeding bowl that does not have to be refilled for days. These are well made, very solid and tip resistant. I have also had no success with designs that do not use water. I have been looking for these for so many years and have already contacted the seller to see if they can get the next larger size from the manufacturer. These work great for cat food including 5.5 oz. cans and smaller dog food portions. THEY REALLY, REALLY WORK REALLY, REALLY WELL!!!!!! Can't find anything else out there that compares. Just remember to not let the bowls rub up against a wall.

When I first bought these special bowls I thought they seemed awfully expensive. But they are well made and they work as advertised. I have had no ant problems since getting these bowls. I am so pleased! When you fill the “moat” the vase, the water lasts many days before needing a refill. The bowls are durable and easy to clean. I like it that the bases are non-slip and relatively heavy, so they don’t scoot around the floor even when my pets are digging into their with enthusiasm.

It works perfectly, no ants! Kind of small inside to not hold very much food. The price is a little high in my opinion but it does work.

I was skeptical at first. I couldn’t figure how this would work, but it does. I’ve had this for a couple weeks and I’ve not seen a single ant. I would certainly recommend this product.

Could be bigger though

This bowl with its unique water moat, is perfect for anyplace you are feeding a cat or dog who doesn't immediately finish all the food in the bowl Works for my barncat! Great invention!

Actually works! I tried a few other supposedly ant-free bowls and ants still found ways to get in to the food. This one is great and actually stops ants from getting in. Recommended.

Definitely get this if you have ants! They can’t get in, my cat drops the odd crumb on floor while eating which the ants obviously feast on but they cannot get in the bowl. Just check there is water in the bottom daily if you are leaving food out. I am very pleased as I could not leave anything for my kitten while at work and now the problem is solved!
