Quick information
I bought this book to prepare my arrival to Norway in few months for study. However, I have been in encounter with my Norwegian professor and this book explained why he does particular things (like always choosing hotels with open space, swimming in the sea, hashing for hours after meeting, looking so laid back, relaxed, reserved but lovely).I also find some information useful about how to get around, although I might prefer a specific travel book. It helps me to be prepared clothes I will pack (so I don't look too formal, in my office, we MUST wear shirt and sleek bottom), food I can expect to have, and basically to not feel hurt if my fellow passenger not talk to me in the train. Helpful and quick info.

Very interesting book!
I haven't read the complete book yet but have scanned thru different sections and had a hard time putting it down. Will start at the beginning now read completely. I have enjoyed reading about the different customs in the home, business and public settings which are very interesting. I have always wanted to visit Norway and this book just makes me want to visit even more. I would highly recommend this book for anyone traveling to Norway or even if you just wanted to gain knowledge about Norway's culture and geography.

Very informative, clear, and concise overview
It has been a while since I lived in Norway. I have visited a number of times since and have family and friends who live in Norway. I wish I had this book available prior to studying at UiO and UiB. The author did a great job of providing a clear, concise, and comprehensive overview which I believe is very accurate. I'm quite happy to have added this to my Kindle bookshelf.

Fun and quite right.
I am Norwegian and it was fun to read about "the Norwegians". I think Linda March really understans a lot of the Norwegians way of life. There are a few facts wrong. For exampel is rømmegrøt not the same as rice cream! ;)
