These are quite nice when rehydrated, ideal for sprinkling on salads etc, but they are quite expensive for the amount that you get

Beetroot pieces - too long; didn't read - this beetroot is as hard as buckshot and far too expensive for what it is, I won't be buying again and I certainly can't recommend it.I haven't tried any of the other Supergarden products so I can only comment on the beetroot. I don't know if this was a one off bad product but it was not what I was expecting. I really like and buy freeze dried products often, they always have a very light slightly crumbly texture but this beetroot was as hard as buckshot. If I hadn't known better I would have sworn this was air dried not freeze dried. I have an Excalibur food dehydrator at home, and if I air dry beetroot in it it comes out the same texture as this beetroot was, which is not what you would expect from a freeze dried product and why I was very disappointed. personally I think the beetroot pieces were cut too small before they were dried. I'm sorry if I'm being a bit of a food preserving geek. This is too expensive to be trying more supergarden products, there are other brands out there that are tried and tasty so I'll stick with them in future.
