The author brilliantly goes through topics muslims 'think they know' but would be surprised to see how far they fall short with respect to them. This includes salah and wudhu, and even understanding the testimony of faith and fulfilling its mandatory conditions to be a muslim.

Excellent resource for the new Muslims and the Muslims who are interested in learning the fundamentals of the religion and are working to strengthen their foundations in relation to the essentials of Tawheed and the pillars of Islam and Faith. I've read the book a couple of times, and use it as an excellent Go-To guide whenever I am asked questions in relation to the essentials of Islam. The esteemed scholar begins the book by describing the meaning of the short chapters from the Qu'ran and thereafter proceeds to the fundamentals of the religion and followed by the outward actions (pillars of Islam). I would highly recommend this book and have bought it numerous times for the new Muslims!

This is an excellent text for the new Muslim as well as the experienced practitioner.
