I'm a little disappointed in this purchase. There were no assembly or installation instructions. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out that kinda stuff but I never could figure out a how to install the metal pieces so that they added any structural integrity to the carrier. The would slip out of the hook/loop fasteners or just not line up correctly. The wire "champagne glass" loop intended to rest against the head tube offered little help in securing the carrier. One of the plactic squeeze clasps on the main straps was broken. I'm not sure if that arrived broken or somehow was broken after arrival. Because of that, we had to cut two small holes in the carrier and try to use zip ties to secure it.That worked well enough until the wife tried to ride the bike with the carrier/dog in place. That lasted about 15 seconds. Too much weight too far forward led to a very unstable ride. So we're done with it. Live and learn.

This looks pretty great in pictures, has a water bottle holder and a little pouch, but that is all it is good for. The straps don't really "secure" it in place. They don't get tight enough and since they are flexible straps instead of some more rigid mounting configuration, there is nothing to prevent the "basket" from sagging forward and on to the front bike tire.Oh, but that is what the little metal thingy is for, right? Wrong. It just rests on the steering neck of the bike, IF the neck is close enough to the basket for it to reach. Again, nothing is really secure or safe.And this is all before adding any weight to the basket. My wife was hoping to put a 5 pound Pomeranian into the basket, but even that wouldn't work. No way.We should have looked closer at the reviews, or even the product photos that show that it requires some sort of rigid platform for this basket to sit on. Yes, look at the photos. The basket is sitting on a hard metal platform of some sort. They know this product doesn't work, and yet they are still selling it claiming that it is all that you need.Save your money and buy something else. It will cost more money, but it is either that or buying this and still not being able to use it.

Unfortunately this was doomed from the start. The installation was awful. The basket kept dropping down and hitting the wheal. The bottom fell apart after the 4th ride. So wobbly and just a terrible design.

No instructions.No stability.No way.

This “basket” is a complete waste of money. It doesn’t mount to the handlebars like it shows in the picture I literally had to wrap the straps around my handlebars a few times then use the buckles which then makes the hole for your dog to stick their head out of smaller. 2ndly the inserts are extremely Fragile I broke one of the sides just putting it together. Lastly if you look at the picture they have on display with the cat, under the basket they have a metal thing holding up the basket because it’s not sturdy enough on its own to hold up an animal. The support wire they provided is all bent after only one use.

Wasn’t sturdy and could not carry a 6 pound dog comfortably very flimsy.

The media could not be loaded.  I was worried about the stability but this was great! My dog is only 9lbs. and I think the basket is perfect for the smaller doggie. I had to double-knot each strap that clasps because it couldn’t tighten enough on its own but that was not a big deal. Considering most other baskets are around $40 I think this was a great deal.

this is a nice product ! Only down fall was it came with no instructions to install .
