Easy to work after a few adjustments and practice. Good optics, sturdy.
I needed this for close-up jewelry work. Once adjusted for my eyes it works great. The light source is a dream compared to years ago and the depth of field with the standard lens gives a true image. The working distance of 100 mm allows tool and finger clearance and I can see exactly when I am shaping or moving metal and I can see precisely when my tool makes contact with a stone. Fully extended, the boom is too heavy for the base but it is easily fixed with more weight or a clamp. This scope will be very helpful to my work.

Awesome Very nice
Got this to start engraving, came in heavy duty box and styrofoam, packaged very tightly and secure. Came with instructions and went together very quickly and easily. Got the one with two different zoom lenses cause i need a wider focus depth, But this thing zooms in like wild when you need it to. Very heavy duty, Very impressed. Plus now everyone wants to see everything under the scope. Lots a fun!

Good microscope for occasional amateur use
This overall design concept is well done, but with a few areas that are disappointing. It was well packed in thick styrofoam and arrived on time. The assembly instructions are very inadequate, and mostly just pictures. Ball bearings appear to not be lubricated, so I added a drop of very light oil to each and they now roll more smoothly. Parts were clean, but I had to take apart one clamp and file off a micro burr to get it all together. Also the knobs and clamp levers force their steel threads against the polished shafts, which will dent them, so I added little bits of nylon cut from wire ties between the shafts and the screw clamps. Optics are OK, but I am not yet able to properly adjust parfocal, so when you zoom it goes out of focus. Their limited optics setup instructions are not helping. I can't find ANY reference to a customer service center. No company name on the literature or address or website. The only option is to send it back to Amazon which I don't want to do. I don't recommend it as a training microscope because to use the camera mount you lose the image in the left eye, so it is not a true tri-focal 'scope. Focus and zoom knobs roll smoothly, but adjusting for inter-ocular spacing for different users is very stiff and said stiffness is not adjustable. The image is quite clear and sharp at all zoom levels. I haven't yet tried the two additional lenses for .5 and 2x magnification. Overall it may be one of the better choices in the mid-hundreds of dollars price level in America.

Good microscope for the money
Good microscope for the money. I’ve been using this for watchmaking and it has performed very well. The controls are very smooth and the image is very wide. I have not use the camera function so I can’t comment on that. some of the bad things is it could be a little crisper with the Image but that could be me I do wear glasses and I need new ones. You have to watch if you fully extend the microscope the boom stand probably should be a little bit heavier but I will eventually mount it down anyway. The screw on the boom pole doesn’t have a bushing in it so I installed a nylon one which I read in someone else’s review. I’m giving it five stars because I went into it knowing this was a lower end microscope but I am impressed with what you get for the money. For a shop microscope or a student microscope I think it works very well. I know very little about these things I am just getting into microscopes so take it with a grain of salt but I’m very happy with it.

This is the scope you want . No need to buy other accessories
This is a very complete package. The only thing missing is a camera. I will ne getting the 41mp hayear when I have the money. I am using this for pcb repair and the scope is phenomenal. I see no difference between this and the amscope costing $700+

Works for me at a few dollars off.
Firstly I must thank the reviewer, G. Kuo, for the excellent review. On the strength of this review, I decided to purchase this product along with his camera and camera mount suggestions. I have just completed the assembly of these items and for my purposes, Z-Scale model railway and other modeling, this will work out just great. I did perform the rudimentary maintenance as outlined by G. Kuo and found that all that was mentioned needed to be done. However, having done that and connected everything up, the stand and HDMI output from the camera worked as expected. It will be a great assist to me with my fast failing eyesight to reclaim the joy of my modeling in my retirement. I don't use the eyepieces of the microscope but have connected the camera directly to a large HDMI screen and use this to perform track soldering, model painting, and assembly tasks directly on the screen. A synopsis of G Kuo's review is included here for your convenience: "Top boom shaft linear bearings were assembled and shipped without lubrication. So, I disassembled the boom and packed bearings with lithium grease. The lower boom shaft plastic guide sleeve was filled with copious metal swarf and I needed to clean those out. A couple metal machining scraps were also found in the eyepiece mounting tubes. Nothing serious, but one should inspect and clean the scope before use." The reduction lens purchased was: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FG89IJU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The microscope camera purchased was: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NSNQSGK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I wish I had got this sooner as I can't say enough about the benefit it will be to be, even if a little pricey, it is well justified.
