A medical device that allows me comfort in my living room
My summary is that the cost of this chair is worth the reduction in pain and the enabling of healing.- The design of the chair back provides uniform support for my head, neck, back, lower back, and hips in one unit. The upholstery looks thin, is thin, and yet supports me comfortably from head to under my hips. It is more comfortable for me than any other chair I own.- The curved lower part of the chair, continues uniform support of my thighs and leg calves. The same upholstery again is comfortable and firm.- The two motors allow control of the angle of the back support and the lift of your leg calve and thighs. The improvement over manual enables me to adjust angles of support precisely, and different each day.My back and my legs are the source of great pain. Typical of my age several different medical problems are acute at the same time. I use this chair for ease of any soreness, pain developed in twice weekly therapy. I use this chair daily for sleep split with a manual recliner in another room. I use this chair to stay engaged with family and friends.Combined medical interventions and access to a chair that gives me comfort, I am getting better.

Stabilizes The Back For Maximum Relaxation And Pain Reduction. But far from "Perfect"
I have severe medical problems with my spine. Sleeping in a bed was very painful. I was much more comfortable in a maximum-adjustable La-Z- Boy, both for sleeping and sitting during the day. But although it helped, I still experienced significant pain.BOTTOM LINE:--- Since purchase of the "perfect" chair, I have been able to sleep, watch TV and use the computer with far less pain. I attribute this to the chair's immobilization of the lower back in the most stress-free position, when in the reclined position. Pain relief is, by far, the most important consideration, so I am keeping the chair.OTHER POSITIVES:--- Unlike many other recliners, which utilize a control module at the end of cord, the 4 way control button on this chair, is always to be found in the same spot and is intuitive, even if a bit tricky to use. The chair appears extremely durable, including the frame and leather.PROBLEMS:--- The memory foam is too firm to be entirely comfortable. It couldn't be called "hard" but it doesn't comfortably yield like the thick, cozy padding on my old La-Z-Boy did. The padded arms have a hard, raised fluting bordering the edges which dig uncomfortably into flesh if supporting oneself at an angle. The sides of the chair below the arms, down to the seat are open and let in cold air. The manually adjustable headrest is hard to use and tends not to stay in the same position when tilted forward. The cushioning in the seat area is ineffective ... Far softer, closed-cell seat cushions, available on Amazon, work much better. The valve for the lumbar support bladder is buried ridiculously deep in the back of the chair and is a struggle to adjust. Compare that to La-Z-Boy which provides variable lumbar support adjustment at the touch of a button. In many ways, the design of this well-made quality chair is hard, Spartan and uncomfortable, instead of snug, welcoming and cozy.

Most expensive lesson learned
Lower back pain has since increased since purchasing this chair as there is actually zero lumbar support despite their being a "button" for it. This button does very little and I have never had lumbar support. Spend your money more wisely.

Fantastic chair
I have been experiencing increasing sciatica for a few years, probably to the degree that I am going to retire due to work activity causing flare ups. Bought this out of desperation. Although I agree with some of the reviews noting the chair seems like the cushioning is hard, the support is good and it has proven very comfortable even if used for long periods. The computer table add on is also quite adjustable and i am using it to write this review now. The white glove service unfortunately was not available due to Covid but the chair was straightforward to assemble: although heavy enough that for someone with a bad back i needed to use the heated cushion almost immediately. The assembly of the computer desk is not however as clear, there was an electric cable in the arm it is mounted to that is not in the illustration anywhere and i had to figure out on my own how best to run that cable to not damage it since i could not get thru to support which was otherwise good. Overall i would do this again even at this expense!
