White Sage Tarot In A Tin Review: Will buy again especially for other people - Okay first off, I would first like to thank the artist of the deck for replying to my Instagram post. I left her a thank you for her making the deck and my thoughts and it turned into a conversation. We chatted for about 45 minutes about how the deck was created and it was an amazing experience to be able to talk to the person behind the story. This deck will now always hold a place in my heart and be my go to deck. The message of the deck is very light and fluffy because she wanted a deck that children could use if they like and it dosent have anything daunting or violent kind of like skills representing death and certain things like that. For all the people who wanted to be critical of her art work I'm not bashing anyone but if you actually took the time to get to know the deck before dismissing things not just on desertcart but on youtube as well you would have an experience like I had. She said that every animal in the deck she has either encountered in real life or in a dream and that was the inspiration for the cards. I'm not going to leave our entire conversation here but I want enough of it so you get some of the back ground of the deck. She said the fool and the high priestess are both her own personal animals the wands actually sparked the interest of her making the deck when she got pussy willows from her husband on valentines day and when she drew them they looked like wands on a tarot deck. Sand dollars came from when they would walk along the beach in japan and pick up sand dollars. The cups were inspired by her wedding cups when her and her husband got married. She told me she chose the serpent around the tree as a devil card because of a dream she had about a snake coming and telling her we latch onto toxic things too tightly. (I"m not going to take the fun away from her if she does decide to do the suggestion I mentioned of her making a full color companion book of the deck) But you get the idea of what she was talking about when she got inspiration for certain things of the deck. One thing I love is I'm dyslexic so roman numerals are a joke to me and most tarot decks actually run off of the roman numeral system and as you can see from the pictures I took the major arcana have an american numbering system. which is amazing Thank you so much for that. Also some people complained about there being a really thick white line when their all up right and yes it does. But as you can see when you shuffle them and mix reversals with the uprights the line fades so you don't need to edge your deck. Plus thanks to U.S. games they put the logo on both opposing corners so you cant tell what your getting, that makes this my now go to deck. I love how small it is and I believe every deck oracle or tarot should have a tin version for people to carry around especially if were teaching the younger generation how to read tarot they can use their small hands with small cards. All in all I love the playful nature she put into the cards like her saying most of the dream quality feeling that you get is because some of the cards she actually got in a dream. I did ask her about the moons on the cards that not all cards had moon phases and she said that was all intuitive for her. I asked her if it was more of a thing where you should have this feeling for a season or a call to action for a certain amount of time she said she didn't know but it was thought provoking. So i take that as a use that as you will. Again I thank her so much for this cute and fun deck and the chance to get to sit down and talk to her for about 45 minutes which I wasn't expecting. Shes is a very down to earth person and it reflects in her cards. I hope you all choose to get this deck and add it to your collection or get it for your kids if they want to learn. I don't feel that this deck is an expert or a beginners deck. I learned off of decks like these so its more if your going to learn tarot pick a deck and start some where. Don't let other people opinions put you off learning from a deck you want to learn from. Thanks again for reading this review and thanks to the author of the deck for spending time with me even my husband thought that was amazing and he likes the deck so much more now than he did when he saw the art work online. Review: Hidden treasure! - This is a magical little deck. Simple and absolutely beautiful. It is nice to shuffle, but more importantly, it reads with a delightful energy that aligns perfectly with the art. I get really accurate readings with it of a spiritual nature. This is a hidden treasure created with love.

Gentle and friendly
This deck has a soft, gentle, warm feeling, like snuggling under a cozy blanket with a hot beverage and a good book. I wanted something that feels kind, and this deck delivered. I will say the images don’t have the many layers of symbolism you find in a traditional RW deck. A RW High Priestess, for example, has at least twelve symbolic images, each with layered meanings of their own. In this deck, we have a calico cat on a blue cushion with a moon on her forehead. The magician is even simpler: a feather above an eye. This is a detriment if you’re looking for deep symbolism in the imagery, but not if you already feel you know the card meanings well, want something simplified, or are just hoping for some lovely art. The author also added in chakras for each card, blending the color into the card art and adding some explanation in the booklet and reference cards. This is a neat extra dimension. The cards handle like regular playing cards, being the same size and weight. Having gotten and returned other “novelty” decks before for their poor quality card stock, I was very pleased with the quality of these. The size works perfectly with their gentle feel, fitting easily in the hands. I also appreciate the lovely little tin they come in. All in all, this is a very sweet deck. I enjoy holding and considering these cards, flipping through them, and drawing them. I wish the imagery could have been a little more complex while still retaining its softness, if only so I’d have more reason to ponder them longer, but I understand the simplicity the artist was going for. Don’t buy them looking for secrets in the imagery itself, but do buy them for the friendly feeling they have.

Stunning
Stunning set of cards, each card looms hand painted although it's not. I would recommend to read up on tarot before attempting to pick up a deck. It can be confusing. If you are looking for experienced tarot readers who can coach you on how to properly read tarot then I'd recommend you do so. There are lots of books on tarot cards to read I'd advise doing that before picking up a deck. However, if you like this deck, I will say its smaller than you'd think. All the deck cards have an animal on them no humans, very beautiful artwork. Please, just read books before buying the cards.

Compact and cute, especially nice for travel
Very cute pictures. The deck is tiny like a normal deck of playing cards. The cards aren’t particularly thick or coated, but they work well for me. The tin is nice as well making them my go to for traveling. The book is interesting but not as complex as other tarot decks. I find myself referencing other books when I read with these. But I do like them and use them a lot. UPDATE: Having used the deck extensively now, I do get very insightful reads with it. By the way, I am a beginner tarot reader and haven't had a problem. The cards have different symbols and images that the traditional decks, but the book explains the designers thoughts on the symbolism present. I added a star.

This deck is my first tarot deck I bought that packaged in the tin. It is perfect for on-the-go readings. The cards are beautiful featuring soft watercolour illustrations with animals and nature elements. Great choice for beginners and seasoned readers alike who want a portable option.

I absolutely love the artwork on this deck! While it's a bit pip-style, the inclusion of chakras color palettes makes it stand out. It feels like a perfect deck for winter readings, and the cute tin makes it ideal for travel. It might be challenging for beginners due to the pip-style imagery, but it’s excellent for intermediate and advanced tarot readers.
