I ordered the 5 mg tablets by accident (meant to order 2.5), but decided not to send them back. I am glad I kept them, because the 5 mg seems to work more effectively for me than the 2.5mg did. I don't need to use them every night anymore, and think it may be that I am generally sleeping better than I did before beginning the 5 mg dosage.As we age, our bodies don't produce as much melatonin on their own, and I have found that the Source Naturals peppermint melatonin works best for me. I have been using this brand for over 10 years now, and will continue now that I have switched to the 5mg dosage.The melatonin doesn't keep me asleep, but seems to help me fall asleep and sleep more peacefully once I am asleep. Source naturals is the best brand of melatonin that I have tried. I have been using it for years to help me stay asleep. I typically fall asleep fine, but where I run into issues is staying asleep or if I wake after a few hours of sleeping. The melatonin helps me fall back asleep faster and I feel refreshed the next morning.You will probably want to experiment with the dosage, I have found that the 5mg works best for me. And I like the peppermint flavor in lieu of the orange simply because I have usually just brushed my teeth before slipping this under my tongue.

Works. Tastes good. Very consistent results over years. I also like the 3 mg peppermint sublingual, but it's hard to find--mostly you see 2.5 mg, but 3 does exist and works surprisingly a lot better given the small increase in dose. The 5 mg is good for times of greater need, which have been all too common lately.

I've been using melatoning for yeeeears. I particularly love the sub-lingual. I use the 5 mgs and take two every night just as I go to bed and within minutes I'm asleep. I wake up rested and refreshed.Note: You have to be very patient with the dosage. Start with one..then add 1/2 a pill or another one. It works! The key is getting the exact dosage for you because we are not all the same. For example: I always take two. Very rarely I need one more, how do I know? Well, if I can't get to sleep within a reasonable amount of time I will take a third. Now, if I do this a couple of days in a row I start to wake up a little tired in the morning. Now I know I have too much melatonin in me so I may not take it the following night at all until my own body tells me it needs it.

Great product! If you are experimenting with melatonin for the first time take note of the mg! I've learned that 5mg is a high dose for me and only take this amount when I have a really bad case of insomnia. Like any sleep aid it's best, in my experience, if I can get a full nights sleep (6-8 hrs) anything less than that and I'm still feeling lethargic in the morning.

I've tried other brands and kinds of melatonin, but this brand is the only one that works for me. It dissolves pretty good with a few bites of peppermint flavor, and don't worry the peppermint won't stimulate you at all. It works very well and I get a good night sleep.
