Brraiinnnnsssss
I used this to make a cake and found it mostly pretty good. However, a few points:- You need to put it on a baking tray and something under the mould (like a ramekin) to stop it falling over. I had a disaster mid-baking where it tipped over and got cake mix all over the tray and oven. It would have been a lot worse without the tray. I did salvage it and it turned out fine but would have been better to support it from tipping over - Sponge cake doesn't seem to hold the brain pattern that well - though I will have to see if it works better when the mix doesn't fall out halfway through!- I used cake release spray (essential) but needed more especially round the more detailed areas at the bottom right like the cerebellum/brain stem which were more detailed. These parts didn't come out easily and looked a bit wrecked. Again, hard to tell but I would advise using cake release and lots of it here if you want your brain to keep the fine detail which looks so good on the mould (and these brain bits are pretty crucial ;) )Finally...can we please have a right hemisphere as well? I want to make a whole brain (and no, turning it inside out doesn't work, I tried).

Good idea, execution not great.
Good idea but kind of poor execution. The grooves are too narrow or something, which makes it hard to get cakes or puddings out without messing up the brain shape. There are no left and right hemispheres, so you can't buy two to make a whole brain. It was also pretty hard to keep it stable when full, got pretty wobbly with batter in it, and you have to fill it a lot to get the shape, so expect spills!
