We were getting ready to head to the lake and the original 14-year-old strap came apart in my hand. I tied the ladder up with a short piece of line in order to salvage our "boating day" but I dreaded the thought of having to find a replacement.To my surprise - and some initial doubt - I found this replacement part with a quick Amazon search.It screwed right in where the old one was. No muss, no fuss. It even included a new screw and locknut. It works perfect.I should probably order a spare so that I've got the part on hand in 2037 when this one lets go. :)
