Love it so far!
This Icar Vgate is great. Works good with WiFi! Does everything I need and programs ABS MODULES when newly installed (replaced)

If you own a Jeep, you will want to have this
This tool needs to be paired with OBD JSCAN if you own a Jeep in order for it to really do its thing. I like other people am having the abs module issue and there are tools out there that can help but it will cost you. This is a fraction of the cost and it does the same thing. My only issue is getting an abs module now. But I was able to clear codes, adjust tire size and a bunch of other stuff with JSCAN. JSCAN only has a one time price of 20 dollars per jeep and that’s it.

Works with LeafSpy Pro on iOS
I purchased this Vgate wifi OBDII adapter to use with the LeafSpy Pro app for monitoring battery health on a 2013 Nissan Leaf. My iOS phone easily connected to the wifi, and I had to restart the App a couple of times to get it to recognize and connect to the Vgate, but it worked after a couple of attempts! (I consider this an issue with the App, not with the OBDII adapter)

To help in ABS diagnosis.
Have a 2015 JK Wrngler and the ABS, Traction Control and brake light all showing on dash. Used my cheap code reader and it was generic identifying an ABS issue. Did some YT research and came across the item and decided to give it a try. Coupled with a phone app this device specifically identified that the ABS electric control moduale is the problem. Not a wheel speed sensor. Only problem is there are no modules available from OEM or other sources. 120 day back ordered. This is a great tool.

Works great and I love the sleep function
I had been using a different OBD2 wifi adapter with on/off switch prior but the on/off switch died after less than a year of use. I like the Vgate adapter as I can just keep it plugged in and it goes into sleep mode when not in use. Sure, time will tell how long the button function last but thus far I can highly recommend it.

Exactly what I needed.
I’ve been looking for a module that would let me get into my Jeep tpms. I ordered and returned a $75 and $150 units that would just tell me to air up tires and drive around for 20 minutes. This module & app ran about $50 and let me have complete control of the tpms including turning off for persistent light. Looks and resets any other codes as well. Very easy to navigate

Will not connect to iPhone!
Tried to connect using this with obd2 doctor app… 2 days later using all tips, protocols, etc from app’s also my experience as an aerospace technician I’ve concluded this device is not able to connect to my challenger using an iPhone! There are guys on YouTube that have came to the same results but they said it will work with Androids. Also had to deep cycle my battery for 4 hours after this misadventure due to a drained battery!

Not sure about security
It works with with my Android phone connected to its wifi network and using Torque. The link is fast and no issues with streaming data. My main concern is that you seem to be stuck with the default SSID and password for the wifi network. I can't find a way to change either of these settings, and don't want to leave an open network connected to my ECU. I tried connecting to the adapter's IP with a web browser and it does bring up a login page, but the password is unknown and I didn't see any details about what it would be in the user manual either. If these two settings were adjustable I would have given this 5 stars. Some people might think this isn't a big deal, but my BRZ's ECU can be completely reprogrammed from the OBD port, so the wrong person with access to this could do some real damage.
