First - these fit the Knipex 10" pliers-wrench. There are three pairs in the package, and each pair has two different sized pads: a large one for the top jaw and a small one for the lower jaw. They fit perfectly and stay on well. The jaws on these pliers already have a polished surface that won't mar most materials, and these jaw covers will add some additional protection when you really want to be sure you don't scratch what you are working on. They are a hard rubber/plastic material - not super soft, but still a bit pliable. Obviously, they will reduce the jaw opening by a few millimeters. They are great for added protection. Highly recommend.

At last an item to keep you from "gouging, scratching, damage to chrome, or other plating on Home plumbing fixtures like faucets, bathroom sink drains, changing washers, changing out faucets in kitchen of bath or showers. I looked and looked and verified that I had the correct number for the Knipex Pliers Wrench before placing my order. You need the latest version of Knipex pliers wrench and its easy to tell, the new one has a two color set of handles and is silver colored. (at least mine is). These red plastic covers fit on the pliers wrench like a hand in glove. I only intend to use these on the visible show parts of faucets and other chrome on plumbing fixtures NOT anything else.

These are excellent for delicate items that require non-marring application. Not only they prevent scratches or dings on the fastener whether that be a screw, bolt or nut, it also prevent possible damage on the plier’s jaws them selves!

Just make sure you have the right pliers that these items fit on before purchase !! They clip nicely into place and stay on, should work very well & keep damage to a minimum !! Been on a Knipex kick lately & really find their products to be outstanding !!!

Great idea, poor product. Even with these plastic jaws the wrench slipped all the way around the plumbing fixture, no grab at all. No, it did not seem to scratch or mar the chrome but neither did they provide any help.

These fit well and will protect surfaces. The upper and lower jaws are different sizes so you get 3 sets.I tried to engrave my name on them but the plastic is too hard to engrave but this should make them last longer.
