Great boots!
Redwing boots have always been my personal favorite for work boots.. after going through several pairs of them, I decided to try something new. Ultimately going with these Antarctic 208d boots. There is absolutely no break in period & wow.. they are some of the most comfortable footwear I’ve owned! I’ve only been wearing mine for about a week, so I have no long term review comments on them. As far as quality, they seem like they will hold up well. They are easy to put on and take off, have good traction.. and they look fantastic! I might buy another pair for non work environments sense they look so good and are very affordable! Very happy with my purchase!UPDATE: 7 months in… the boots are still in solid shape after wearing them to work every day. I wouldn’t recommend these boots to someone looking for seriously tough footwear. I can see these getting blown out quickly with extra hard use. They work great for me…the comfort level is still there.. I estimate I’ll prob get another 6 months out of these till mine are blown out like some reviewers have shown in photos. For the money, I’d say it’s a good buy still.. but with just an extra 40$ you could buy a far superior boot that will last much longer.

Black Suede for Hiking Boots?
The boots are very nice in terms of fit, weight, and comfort. No complaints in any of those areas. They fit as expected and are nice and lightweight. However, after buying them and wearing them on a few hikes and bike rides, I feel they could be improved. I have them in black, and part of the upper is black suede, which retains dirt and dust, thus making them annoying to clean. They should have used regular boot leather, instead. Also, they are kind of a pain to unlace and take off after a long hike. This could be easily remedied by the addition of a zipper on the hidden side of each boot. Other than that, they aren't bad. They are fairly flexible and have decent traction, which helps a lot in rock climbing situations.

A great desert boot
They say Burning Man is cancelled this year - but that definitely won't stop me from going! :-)And with that conviction came realization that my trusty BM boots (that survived 6 years of Playa BTW) are not too long for this world. And so began The Big Search for Replacement Boots.Let me rewind a little bit. Your shoes at BM are probably the most important part of your equipment. Saftety third, I know. But have you heard of playa foot? No? Google it, with images. Yeah. So good protection is paramount. And comfort is really important too. Imagine a scene: it's 5am in the desert, you've been waking around looking at art all night. Now you are dancing in one of the clubs. You meet this really cool chick, and she wants to go on a long walk with you. But - you've got this nasty blister and you really need some surgical attention at this point. Want to make choices like that? I know I don't!So, I tried a bunch of desert boots on Amazon. Really did my research. And this unknown brand came out as an unlikely winner of the competition. Robust, light, very comfortable. And true to size - a common fault of Chinese manufacturers is not here.So buy these, and see you on Playa in a couple of months!

Real Review
I’ve worn these boots now for a few weeks maybe a month. Seen some mixed reviews but decided to give them a try. I ordered a few pairs of tactical boots from various other companies on here before I found these. I work in various types of weather conditions and trades. These boots look good, are light weight, comfortable and have kept my feet dry. I did spray them with a silicone water proofing before I wore them. I figured why not. I work 10-12 hr days. We will see in time how well they hold up but so far so good. I’m considering buying another pair while supplies last. I’m picky with the style and comfort of my shoes so when I find something I like, I go hard. Can’t go wrong with these. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate and buy them. Oh the sizing! I’d say they are true to size. I ordered my usual and they fit like my usual. What they looked like in the pic is what I got. Happy with my purchase.

Don't wear these in the rain or stop in a puddle...
These are not bad boots but they aren't something ideal for what is seen in its advertising. I live on Chicago and my job requires me to go around to different areas inspecting different locations, which may have loose or uneven pavement. I don't need a full blown heavy workbook, so the weight and size of this boot works well. This is also the MOST comfortable boot I've ever worn. But it all goes down hill with water. I stepped into a puddle about as deep as my ankle for not even a few seconds. Lo and behold, water went straight through the material and my feet got wet. They didn't get soaked, but far too wet for me to consider these boots as waterproof. They are water-resistant at best.Ankle support in these boots isn't that great either. All in all, this boot is best suited to non-rainy and relatively dry day hikes and for those who need yo protect their feet when out and about.Again, this is NOT a bad boot. It just isn't as good as what the ads make it out to be. It's like a commercial showcasing someone racing something like a Toyota Camry - don't do it. Because of this boots failure to live up to standards and expectations, I give it a 3/5.If it were expected to be a light work (I needed medium work) boot where a steel toe and stiff design wasn't necessary, I'd give it something like a 4.5/5.
