I looked it up, but apparently you're supposed to only wipe this clean with a damp towel, and then again with a dry one. It might be because of the washi paper on the outside or to prevent rust from forming.I really like this design because it was simple. There's also a way to make sure the lid is in the right place and the washi paper design matches back perfectly with the bottom half: as you twist the top, it should stop once it hits a little notch.I use this for hojicha powder, and it keeps it airtight and fresh!

I use this tin when I travel and it's held up well. Nice design, clean, odor-free interior, and a sturdy lid with an extra insert to keep my tea secure and fresh. Good size for travel. Bargain price.

Keeps my matcha fresh and dry. It's a beautiful canister and I'm glad I got it. Not sure how the wrapping outside will last but even if it comes undone or gets dirty, the tin itself will be useful for it's purpose of keeping my tea fresh. It's an extra perk to have but not a total necessity as matcha you buy can come in it's own tin but for those who don't have one, this is good.

Flimsy and cheap used to hold my matcha but after only 3 uses it broke

Love the tin. Cute design and keeps my gyokuro fresh. Arrived with a big dent in the side. Thankfully it was just for my personal use, but would have returned if I’d gotten it for someone else.
