Q: Will this hold 3 inch shells?

It will accommodate 2.75"-3.5" shells. This holds my 12ga 3.5" shells just fine.

Q: Is this made in the USA?

I'm not sure, but most like it is made in China like so many other things. I have installed several of these on the but stock of shotguns. They can be a challenge to work on. One thing if you have of get this item don't pull it on using the shell loops. They will tear. I also have incorporated a hair dryer to soft the elastic. Good luck and worth the money. In fact i need to order another one for another SG I have. This particular appliance has the largest capacity. If you have a Mossberg Maverick SG it has an 8 shot capacity. Purchased this three years ago and hasnt stretched out yet. it is a stretchy fabric so it will fit. holds shells well too, just used this weekend hunting with my 12ga.

Q: Will this fit the Thunder Ranch Mossberg 590??

I believe it will. I have a Mossberg 500 20 gauge and fits not super tight. So there is room if the butt stock is a bit bigger. It hold 8 shells. Hope it helps.
