Worked great
I use this with a Mint mobile regular sim card. Once I got it setup with the right settings, it worked great!TO save you time digging through Google, all you need to do is create a new profile, add your phone number and then set the APN to "Wholesale" then save. Next choose the profile you just made from the dropdown list and set it to default. Then it will allow you to turn on the data from the sim card and use it as wifi.I didn't feel like i got great wifi from this, but hard to say if it is Mint or the hotspot, I can say if I buy another, it will be one with a digital display that offers more information on the device. This does not indicate how much battery life the hotspot has, and it is not clear how many bars connected you are. You will need to log into the wifi router settings which acts as a little app, to view these things. So, it isn't very convenient. But, for the money, I think it works great.

WRONG ASSEMBLY
the password on the box is wrong. unable to connect as the signal idenitification does not accept the password in the back of box. I think its a manufacturing assembling problem. i would like to return but i travelled out the US and bow the return date is about to expire. I have tried reaching out to seller on amazon but i would send request and for an hour no response comes on my computer screen. Hence i decide to do a review.

Works on AT&T for me
Several reports of this not working with AT&T but it's working for me! Bought this to replace my aging Mobley device on At&t, Mobley is still working but getting older now, installed the sim and called at&t tech support for the puk codes for my sim card. This hotspot worked fine after, then messing with settings I did something wrong, had to manually add a connection profile and APN and working beautifully for 24hrs now non stop. If you're using this for your Mobley device, you will need to call for your puk codes, and hold on to your working Mobley just in case.

Somewhat unreliable, but worked most of the time.
Seemed to work well initially, but started losing connection, especially when the device got warm (heavy usage or ambient temperatures) and would need a battery out power reset. Worked well on GoogleFi when it worked. Used GoogleFi data abroad until they dinged me for "abnormal usage" (during a four week stay in the UK). Got me through what I needed, so that is good, but ultimately another device that won't be used again due to the unreliability. Moving on to a faster 5G device, hopefully.

Really good product!
The portable WiFi is a really good product. The only thing that gave me a small problem was, when I got the 100 Gbs for $60 at T-Mobile I had to switch my plan to 50 Gbs for $50 because the 100 Gbs didn't work on the device and I believed it's because of t-mobile switched the 100 Gbs plan to a 5G signal and 5G doesn't work on this device so be aware of that! But other then that it works great for my Roku, desktop, phone at the same time!

Don't waste your money
I've been using this while in a remote part of Guatemala. The wifi signal it puts out is fine, but it is not reliable. Oftentimes the device turns off for no reason and I have to take the battery out to get it to turn back on again. The battery life is also super short. It's not reliable enough to make it worth it - I had better luck and consistency using the mobile hot spot on my phone.

Works perfectly on AT&T once I got a nano to mini SIM adapter - Updated
Updated:When I relocated the device to my motorhome and took a trip, it would connect to the AT&T network only intermittently. When it connected, it worked well, but the flakiness was not going to work for me. To make a long story short, I had to reset the device to factory settings by pressing and holding the power and WPS buttons until all of the LEDs flashed four times (this requires patience - it doesn't happen quickly). Since doing this, it has worked flawlessly again. (I'll have to see how long it continues to work before requiring another reset.)It was Alcatel support that gave me the procedure for the factory reset; however, it took a long time to get them to respond. For this reason, I will withhold that 5th star. If I end up having to reset again, I may come back and remove another star. I hope this is helpful.Original review:I use Verizon for the most part but I do a lot of RV camping and sometimes AT&T is a better (or only) carrier. Before retiring, my work phone was AT&T and my personal phone was Verizon, so I had my bases covered. I returned my work phone to my employer when I retired so, I needed another AT&T solution.I bought an AT&T prepaid phone and signed up for the "unlimited data" plan only to find out that unlimited data on AT&T does not include hotspot tethering, the very reason that I bought the phone in the first place. Talking to an AT&T customer support person, he explained that there are hotspot plans available but they don't always work well with phones that are designed for talk, text and data. He suggested that I get a hotspot device. Well, in researching hotspot devices (such as this Alcatel) it became clear that they will work with the unlimited data and not just the "hotspot" data (which plans all have data limits). So, I bought this device and took the SIM card out of the AT&T phone (an LG Phoenix) went to put it into the Alcatel only to find that it takes a mini SIM card and the LG has a nano. Now, I live out in the country and the nearest place for me to gat an adapter was an hour drive in each direction and I had a camping trip starting the next day. So, I ordered the adapter from Amazon and it was delivered today. With the adapter, I was able to use the nano SIM from the AT&T phone and it worked immediately and flawlessly (as far as I can tell). I hooked my FireTV to the Alcatel and streamed an episode of Nova without touching any of the remaining Hotspot data that I had added to the "unlimited data" plan ($10 for 5GB - what a joke!). I'm leaving on another camping trip in two days to a place that I know has no Verizon but decent AT&T service. If this device works well there, I'll add a star to this review.

AT&T 100% 4G LTE Excellent
At first I could only connect to 3G & 3G+. Called AT&T customer service informed them of the new IMEI # and my frustration with the lack of 4G connectivity. They updated and refreshed the network VOILA. I would highly recommend this product. Great value for the price. I will update with battery life after I've stress tested with all of my devices connected.
